Limitations of single camera productions
- 1. LIMITATIONS OF SINGLE CAMERA PRODUCTIONS
- 2. NEW SETUP FOR EVERY SHOT Only having one camera means you have to move it and keep setting it back up every time you want to film a different scene.
- 3. LONGER TO SETUP It takes longer to set up due to the large amount of equipment.
- 4. REPETITION Repeat the same shot 3 times to get each angle as you can only get one at a time, however use of multiple cameras you're able to capture everything at once.
- 5. LESS REALISTIC REACTIONS As one actor gets filmed at a time, the reactions aren't as natural.
- 6. LONGER TO FILM It will be longer to film as they have to re-do the same scene over and over to get each piece of footage like they would in single camera.
- 7. SMOOTHER TRANSITIONS The transition from one person to another will be smoother as they film the whole thing together than shooting one person then re-doing it to film the other person.
- 8. HARD TO REPRODUCE SCENES Can be hard to reproduce scenes, which would be easy to overcome if using multiple cameras.
- 9. COVER MORE AREA Using multi-camera allows people to: Cover more area as there are more cameras.
