Kingsman: The Secret Service In the Kingsman many natural tones are used whereas the where CGI and editing has been done, the shots use highlights of brighter or less saturated colour to bring in tradition and modern techniques together. The use of natural tones such as soft greens and beiges portray the posh areas of London yet connote them as boring as the main character is the opposite of this environment. I will probably use brighter colours as opposed to this method of Lighting.
- 3. Before I Disappear The lighting in Before I Disappear is usually dark as most of the scenes take place at night or in clubs. Many shots use coloured LED lights or filters to make the shots more vibrant and mystical. There are also lots of dark shadows used yet in most shots the lighting is around the whole area as supposed to being pin-pointed to one angle. I like the use of the projector and may replicate this at school for my own trailer.
- 4. American Ultra The lighting in American Ultra starts out with natural tones yet as the film progresses into the more intense scenes, the colour becomes darker and more saturated in colour. In many shots a light is behind the actors as well as in front to connote the chase from the FBI that the character’s face. I particularly like the use of the UV light as it’s unique so I can replicate this since we have a UV torch and glow in the dark paint.
