A red wine, Syrah can have greatly different tastes,
ranging from a bold olive to a light blackberry, based
on the region in which the grapes have been grown.

3. Syrah
 Grapes grown in cooler climates like Sonoma, the Northern
Rhone, and Chile produce a Syrah with a much lighter
body. Often featuring such notes as pepper, tobacco, and
tart boysenberries, light-bodied Syrah naturally pairs with
grilled lamb cooked in the Mediterranean style.
Grapes grown in warmer climates, such as Napa, Paso
Robles, Argentina, Spain, and Australia, produce a full-
bodied Syrah, complete with notes of blackberry,
blueberry, cocoa, licorice, and sweet tobacco. As such, full-
bodied Syrah pairs extremely well with the bold flavors of
barbecued pork.
