2. INTRODUCTION
 Antoine Chaya, senior director of strategic accounts at Oracle Corporation in Redwood
Shores, California, has supported the organization in its endeavors since 2006. Antoine
Chaya utilizes more than two decades of executive experience to fulfill his responsibilities
at Oracle.
Since 2014, Oracle has sponsored the Raspberry Pi Foundation, an innovator in small,
lightweight computers. With unit costs well under $50, the Raspberry Pi is well-suited to
classroom use, and the foundation offers many resources for educators who want to use
the computer as a platform for teaching young people how to make effective use of
technology.
Some of these resources focus on teaching children the ins and outs of computing and
code, such as using Python to write functioning code. Others require the use of
additional peripherals and teach students how to use technology to solve problems in
disciplines such as meteorology and physics. For one such project, Oracle created a
Weather Station Kit, which uses a Raspberry Pi device to perform the computing tasks
that support several weather sensors mounted directly on top of the computer as a
Hardware Attached on Top (HAT) module.
