This document presents information on Li-Fi technology. It begins with acknowledgements and an index of the presentation objectives, which include an introduction, working concept, benefits over radio waves, application fields, and conclusions. The presentation then discusses the history of Li-Fi beginning in the 1990s, defines it as transmission of data through illumination of light using LED bulbs, and explains how it works by varying light intensity faster than the human eye can detect to transmit digital 1s and 0s. It highlights reasons for using visible light communication rather than radio waves, including capacity, security and economic benefits. Application fields of Li-Fi are presented, along with the drawback of light obstruction, before concluding with predictions about its future potential.
