Moles primarily eat grubs and worms, paralyzing their prey with poisonous saliva. Though not blind, they are color blind and live underground, using their curved front paws and strong sense of smell to dig extensive tunnel systems at speeds of up to 20 feet per hour. Spread across Europe, Asia, and North America, moles should not be cruelly treated but humanely removed if necessary.
