Li-Fi Technology[light fidelity]
– Li-Fi (short for light fidelity) is wireless
communication between devices using light to
transmit data.
– The term was first introduce by Harald Haas
during a 2011 TEDGlobal talk in Edinburgh.
HOW IT WORKS?
Underwater communication
LI-FI uses visible light, Ultraviolet and Infrared
 No limitations on capacity
The visible light spectrum is 10,000 times
larger than the entire radio frequency.

Li-Fi Features
–SPECTRUM
–BANDWIDTH
–SECURITY
–SAFETY
Applications
–Security
–Cellular communication
–Safety environments
–Underwater communication
Advantages of LI-FI
–Transmission of Data is fast and easy.
–It is possible to achieve more than
10Gbps,theoretically allowing a high-definition
film to be downloaded in 30sec.
–Most powered by LEDs so it is cost efficient.
–Its main advantage is its Bandwidth is 10,000
time than radio waves.
Disadvantages of LI-FI
– Light can't pass through objects.
– High installation cost of the VLC systems.
– Internet cannot be used without a light source. This
could limit the locations and situations in which Li-Fi
could be used.
– A whole new infrastructure for Li-Fi would need to be
constructed.
CONCLUSION
–Li Fi will make are lives more technology driven in
the near future.
–With its magic of light it can make our world a
greener, safer, cleaner and moreover a brighter
place to live.
