1. To Whom It May Concern,
It is my pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Shaun Wreyford. He was an outstanding contributor in
our Manufacturing and Product Services Group. His role as Operations Coordinator was vital to our success.
He provided exception internal and external customer support, paid outstanding attention to detail and was
capable of multi-tasking in several areas.
The most important facet of his position was customer service for both our field Service Engineers and End
Customers. Varec has several field service engineers located around the country. We completed jobs at
several fuel terminals and refineries around the world. All jobs were coordinated through Shaun in Atlanta.
Shaun always made sure the Engineers were well prepared to complete their job on schedule and within budget
by providing pertinent information before the jobs were started. Shaun coordinated all of the pre-job activities
and maintained the inventory required to complete the work. He always responded to the engineers as quickly
as possible to get them the items or information required. Shaun was also the main source of correspondence
with the end customer. We processed all of the service purchase orders and invoices. He verified that we were
always paid for the work completed and had no problems completing collection calls for past due invoices. He
was always very professional in his communication with customers.
Shaun paid very close attention to details. It was imperative to understand customer’s expectations for work
completed at their sites. Several jobs required Service Agreements between the Varec and the end customer.
Shaun would work with our contracts group and the end customer to negotiate acceptable Terms and Conditions
for the work to be completed. Shaun was also responsible for accurate invoicing and commission payment to
our sales representative for service jobs. This required understanding of state sales tax application, multiple
customer discount schedules and various commission arrangements.
Shaun was great at multi-tasking. Not only did he coordinate the Field Service Engineers, he also administered
our Factory Repair process. He processed orders for factory repairs, coordinated the schedule for the Repair
Technicians and invoiced the customer for the work completed. Often times, Shaun would take a repair
opportunity to “up-sale” spare parts or replacement items. He also helped cover the responsibilities for shipping/
receiving administrator during absences.
Shaun was a high energy, customer-focused individual. He was always willing help out his co-workers and
customers in any way possible. He always had a positive demeanor and was a true team player.
