This lesson plan aims to teach 6th grade students about animals using the phrases "have got" and "haven't got". The plan includes warm-up activities reviewing animals from the previous lesson. · Students may find it difficult to understand the short descriptions.l
Possible Solutions:
· We give them more examples apart from the ones on the powerpoint and
explain them the structure to use have got / haven’t got as many times as
they need.

1) Warm-up activities:
a) We will correct the sentences we worked with last class:
1. Penguins haven’t got beaks.
2. Vicuñas have got four legs.
3. Jaguars have got feathers.
4. Ostriches have got two wings.
5. Pumas have got two eyes and two small ears.
6. Deers haven’t got antlers.
7. Alligators have got fins.
8. Elephants have got a trunk and two long tusks.
9. Giraffes haven’t got a short neck.
10. Anteaters have got a long tongue.

2) Main Activity:
a) We will present brief descriptions of three different animals in a
powerpoint presentation. These ones will also be delivered to the
students in photocopies in order for them to have the examples on
their folders.

b) Students answer questions orally that the teacher asks to check their
understanding of the texts.
c) We could introduce the structure for questions with have got and
make children interact between them asking and answering questions
to practice all structures: interrogative, affirmative and negative.
