Worcester Polytechnic Institute - Advanced CNC Skills Training – Skills executed: Use blueprint specifications
and orthographic drawings for writing G&M code to program HAAS mini-mill, HAAS SL-10 and HAAS SL-20 two
axis lathes, HAAS VM-3 three axis mold maker, HAAS VF-4 three axis mill, and Haas mill drill machines. Setup
tooling and work piece offsets, including zero and reference points, using gauge blocks and dial indicators to
manufacture parts.
MassMEP – CNC Pre-Apprentice Certificate - Skills executed: Shop math, mechanical blueprint reading, reading
calipers and micrometers, G&M code recognition, CNC operation and program writing, Lean to Green, SPC and
5S training. MasterCam X9 training for HAAS milling and turning centers. Skills executed: Creation of geometry,
stock and tool setup, tool paths and drill cycles of CNC code for mills, lathes and art drawings.
