LEGO Stop Motion Animation - BrickCon 2013
Dustin Woodard presents on the history and techniques of stop motion animation. He discusses how stop motion works by stringing together a series of pictures to create the illusion of movement. Some notable early stop motion films include Humpty Dumpty's Circus from 1898 and The Trip to the Moon from 1902. Modern classics like Star Wars and Nightmare Before Christmas used stop motion techniques. Upcoming films like The LEGO Movie will also feature stop motion. Woodard demonstrates some of his stop motion setups and encourages learning the techniques to create your own videos.
