Chrysler's emphasis to
more fuel-efficient
cars and embarked on
an aggressive
advertising campaign.
Lee Iacocca was able to help these car
Companies as well as the community. It is very possible we
Would not have these efficient cars that we have today
If it wasn’t for Lee Iacocca’s creative ideas.
3. The Ford Mustang was designed by Lee
Iacocca. The creation of This car helped create a whole new
look on sports cars. On March 9, 1964, the first Mustang
rolled off the assembly line in Dearborn, Michigan. A
month later on April 17th, 1964, the Ford
Mustang made its world debut.
4. K-car
Lee Iacocca joined Chrysler after being let
go from Ford. He wasted no time after the
loans were granted and created. He would
call these cars the “last train at the
station”. If we failed here,
it was all over. In 1981
the K- car was released.
They came in three body
styles, 2 door coupe,
4 door sedan, and
5-door wagon, and they
were named the 1981
Motor Trend “Car
of the Year.”
