Control System Definition
A control System consists of Subsystems and processes (or Plants) assembled for the
purpose of obtaining a desired output with desired performance, given a specified
input.

Control System Definition
1. Two major measures of performance: Transient response, Steady state error.
2. Passenger comfort and passenger patience are dependent upon the transient response.
3. Steady State Error: Safety and Convenience - if the elevator did not properly level then
passenger safety and convenience would be sacrificed.
