3.  The urinary bladder is a hollow muscular
organ in humans and some other animals
that collects and stores urine from the
kidneys before disposal by urination.
 In the human the bladder is a hollow
muscular, and distensible (or elastic) organ,
that sits on the pelvic floor

4.  Urine enters the bladder via the ureters and
exits via the urethra. The typical human
bladder will hold between 300 and 500 ml
before the urge to empty occurs, but can hold
considerably more.
 the bladder lies below the level of the
umbilicus although in some individuals it can
rise to this level when full. Its location is best
understood in relation to surrounding organs
and structures :

 The swollen area can block urine flow. A
ureterocele is a birth defect.
 The male and female urinary tracts are
relatively the same except for the length of
the urethra.
