This document discusses several archaeological case studies and their relationships with surrounding communities. It examines projects at El Polín Springs in San Francisco involving outreach to local and foreign communities, Çatalhöyük in Turkey where the local village and students were involved, and Binchester Roman Fort in England where they conducted field schools and involved volunteers and the local community.
