1. Leadership and management
Leadership and management is a fundamental
part that helps in setting the best standards and
making sure that both the staff that works under
me and most importantly the children gets the
best out of the institution. I will therefore, apply
the leadership and management skills as the
leader to make sure that each and every
individual that is associated with my institution is
comfortably in order to give the children the best.
I will do this in the following ways:
2. Effective communication – Communication is
fundamental for any organization that wants to get the
best out of the staff members and citizens of the
society at large. I will therefore make sure that the staff
members are free enough with the management in
order to give them the morale to know that they are
entrusted with the work. I would make sure that I set
the standards that make sure that the relationship and
communication between the staff members is such that
it enables the staff to be free with one another so as to
get the best out of themselves and subsequent
colleagues. (Caruso and Fawcett)
3. Comfortable and supportive workplace – I will
make sure that the institution is installed with
all the required equipment that makes it easy
for the staff members to get the best out of
the students under their care without much
strain. The institution will have to be equipped
with the all requirements that are needed by
the small children in making sure that they
ready for the real world.
4. Career development opportunities for the staff –
I would make sure that the staff have the
exposure to the best experiences that they need
by allowing them to attend seminars organized
and paid for by the institution that gives them the
opportunity to meet and change experiences with
other institutions staff. I would also make sure
that they have the opportunity to increase their
skills by organizing trainings aimed at making
them more skillful and informed about the field.
5. I would also make sure that they have the opportunity
to increase their skills by organizing trainings aimed at
making them more skillful and informed about the
field.
6. Hiring and retention – it is important to bring on
board staff members that are qualified and skilled
in their field of operation. As such I would make
sure I conduct a competitive hiring exercise that
scrutinizes the individuals with interest on any
position in the institution. This will make sure that
I come up with a competitive staff members with
the motivation needed to give the students the
best information that they need for their
development.
7. Competitive staff members will therefore be well remunerated
and given positions that match their experiences within the
institution to make sure that they are comfortable giving the
best to the institution. (Ritchie and Willer)
