they want in the conference. Overview:
1. Create a slide deck for your proposal(s)
2. Post to List.ly
3. Promote the proposal(s) on social media
outlets and ask people to vote for you. The
more Likes you get the better your chances of
being accepted.

3. The 13th annual LavaCon Conference will be held
October 18–21, 2015 in New Orleans at the Astor
Crowne Plaza Hotel in the historic French Quarter.

Deadline for submission: February 23, 2015
1. Read Call for Speakers

4. Create a deck with at least the following:
• Title and Author
• Type (Breakout, Workshop, Case Study)
and Description
• In this Session, Attendees Will Learn
• About the Speaker
There is no template to follow. Make the proposal
as detailed as you like, but short enough so that
people will read the proposal and vote for you.
2. Create a Slide Deck

5. 1. Upload your deck to SlideShare.net
2. Then post your proposal to the list and include
a. The URL to your slides
b. A text description
(See next slides for steps.)
3. Post to List.ly

6. Go to lavacon.org and click “Add to List.”
Create a List.ly profile if needed.
3. Log into Listly

7. Click “Link”
3. Submit link

8. Paste the URL to your slides. The slides will
appear with the title you specified in SlideShare.
If needed, edit the title.

9. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, enter the
text description, then click Save.

10. 4. Share on FB andTwitter
Share on Facebook and Twitter, then click Close.

11. Your session should appear on the top of the list.
Edit or revise as needed.
5. Edit Your Proposal

12. Remember to Like your own session. You can also
share directly from the list. Good luck!
