Supported the development of a more sustainable LMU community with numerous initiatives, including manually adjusting the LMU campus chilled water generation and distribution set-points to reduce the associated electric costs. Initiated an intelligent control system which would control the chilled water generation and distribution based on the campus operation needs to reduce the associated electric costs. Engineered the critical electrical system for the Campus Main IT Room and consulted with the UPS manufacturer engineering department to determine the optimum UPS system upgrade. Installed campus utility metering systems to monitor and control utility usage. Construction Project Manager - Border Patrol Stations, 2007-08 Nortel Government Solutions, Laguna Niguel, California Provided program and project management for the construction of Border Patrol Stations in Tucson Arizona. Successfully delivered four projects totaling $170M. Buildings included Administration, Detainee Processing and Holding, Helipad including fueling, Site Security; and Environmental and Water Conservation programs. Actively participated in the development of the Border Patrol Stations’ Program, Design Charrette, and the Design A&E Scope of Work. During the Design Phase, actively managed the Border Patrol Station Preliminary Design, 35% Design, 65% Design, 95% Design, 100% Design; and the 100% Corrected Design. Oversaw development of the Contractors’ Scope of Work Documents, and resolved all Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI). Also accountable for discrepancies between the Contract and the Design Guides. Engineering of SBInet Space (Nortel) Developed the electrical and infrastructure requirements for new SBInet Space in Border Patrol Stations, the area where electronic surveillance information is collected and handled. Developed and presented a winning proposal to CBP HQ in Washington D.C for the Electrical and Infrastructure Requirements of the new SBInet Space. Proposal was adopted and utilized as the electrical and infrastructure requirements for the SBInet Space. Provided project management and engineering expertise to Tactical Infrastructure Projects in the Tucson Arizona Sector. Projects include the installation of the following along the U.S. Southern Border: U.S. Southern Border Fence, Vehicle Barriers, and Border Patrol Agents High Speed Aggregate Roads. Power Systems Engineer, 2004-07 Lockheed Martin, Washington, DC Provided detailed Electrical Engineering technical expertise on Electrical Power Systems’ Design, Failure Modes, Operation, Electric Components Integration, and Electric Troubleshooting to develop and maintain the various National Air Space (NAS) Electrical Power Systems.
