 Responsible for managing Capital and O&M projects, averaging $2.6M and $1.3M respectively, while
providing maintenance and operational support to all coal-fired units and their related air quality control
systems.
 Advocated best practices for project development and project management by creating standardized
documents and processes to achieve greater results from competitive bidding, providing the company
with the most competent and financially beneficial contractor.
 Successfully managed the unplanned replacement of two, 36” valve-to-pipe transition pieces on a
supercritical boiler’s steamlines. Utilized six hired contractors of specialized skill sets and support from
the company central engineering group to avoid extended unit down time, reduce risk to unit reliability,
and improve personnel safety.
 Engineer in charge of the plant Catalyst Management Program for the two coal unit’s SCRs. Thorough
planning in conjunction with the development of standardized work scopes associated with mechanical
craft labor, industrial cleaning, and performance tuning reduced required capital funding up to 40% and
improved accuracy of future budget planning allowing company to allocate funds across a greater
number of assets to mitigate risk.
 Enhanced plant understanding and awareness of the Management of Change process and requirements
associated with the Process Safety Management program mandated by OSHA for anhydrous ammonia.
The collaborative effort maintained the reliability of the related equipment and ensured no compromise
in safety.
