Jacques is an 18-year-old from Manchester who has been interested in extreme sports like scootering for several years. He started riding a skateboard around his neighborhood and began scootering regularly after discovering his local skatepark. Jacques now has a close-knit group of friends from both school and the skatepark that share his interests in scootering, gaming, music and photography. He has invested in professional camera equipment and enjoys capturing photos at the skatepark. Jacques' favorite aspects of scootering are riding with friends and competing, and he sees his future continuing in both the sport and his photography studies.
This document evaluates several potential locations for filming a final major project about a skateboarder named Jacques. It assesses each location based on available space, ease of setting up equipment, availability of electricity, permission requirements, and how well the location fits the vision for the project. The locations being considered include local skateparks, Jacques' house for indoor shots, various public areas in Irlam where Jacques is from, and locations in Manchester city center. The document concludes that using a variety of locations would help make the video more interesting and that each location is relevant in some way to Jacques or the types of shots being captured.
Callan Hammond took four photographs around Manchester and Blackpool. The document analyzes each photo individually. Photo 1 shows the reflection of trees in a brick building's windows. Photo 2 was taken on a sunny day in Blackpool and has good depth of field. Photo 3 is a colorful metal staircase in Manchester with incredible depth and bright colors. Photo 4 features a mysterious figure in an archway of an old building and has a black and white filter. Overall, the photographer effectively applied the rule of thirds in composing shots with central focal points.
Callan Hammond is a photographer whose work is being analyzed. The analysis examines four black and white photos taken by Hammond in Manchester. The first two photos feature the same Jamaican man, one as a close-up and one with more background visible. The third photo shows Hammond's friend Joe Copsey looking into the distance in Manchester city center. All three apply a black and white filter and show the significance of backgrounds. The fourth photo is in color and features an unidentified smoking man partially obscured by blue smoke in a subway tunnel, creating a unique and effective image through its focused composition.
1) The Jack Rabbit Slims scene in Pulp Fiction displays many Postmodern elements including intertextuality, parody, pastiche, reflexivity, bricolage, and self-referentiality.
2) Intertextuality is shown through references to Grease, parody through Travolta dancing similarly to Saturday Night Fever despite his aged body, and pastiche through recreating Marilyn Monroe's famous scene from The Seven Year Itch.
3) Reflexivity is when Mia breaks the fourth wall to call Vincent boring, bricolage mixes 1950s style with 1990s fashion, and self-referentiality includes a reference to Uma Thurman's character in Kill Bill
The document provides a self-evaluation of the final major project video by the creator. It summarizes the technical quality of the video, including shooting in 1080p at 25 frames per second and using external microphones to capture high quality audio. It discusses editing challenges like syncing audio clips and using more advanced software. The creator analyzes improvements to their production skills from attempting new techniques like split screens. Overall, the creator is pleased with how the documentary-style video turned out, feeling it achieved their goals of being informative while varied in content and locations.
This document discusses the copyright status and sources of various images used in a magazine. It notes that images of the Beast Rampz logo and park were taken from the Beast Rampz website, and that an ISA vector image was cropped from their site. A Union Jack image was sourced from clker.com but the site claims no specific ownership. A Dialled image was used from an Inside Scooters blog, and an Urbis photo came from a professional photographer's site. A barcode is not copyrighted but the used image was from Wikipedia. A laced font was edited from an online shoe shop's site, and flames clipart was from clipartpanda.com.
The document is a first draft script for a music video for the song "Hey Brother" by Avicii. The script outlines 15 scenes showing a brother and sister reconnecting after time apart. It describes shots of the brother boarding a train and the sister walking off a bus, then both walking alone down streets. Later scenes show them walking together, hugging, and reminiscing outside their old abandoned house while holding a photograph. The script is intended to give a dark, mysterious tone to the video and follow the brother and sister reuniting after separation for an unknown period of time.
The document discusses mood boards and video examples that inspired the creator's ideas for their own music video. They liked elements of mystery from You Me At Six and Don Broco music videos, using restricted shots and smoke. Scenes from 1975 used dark silhouetted shots. Documentary styles from Vincent Kudrna and Ryan Williams used establishing shots effectively, like a time lapse from night to day. Animation was also used cleverly in Vincent Kudrna's video to label parts without needing explanation. Overall the creator found techniques and shots from the various examples that they wanted to emulate in their own music video.
This document discusses the marketing campaign for the 2015 film Cinderella. It analyzes various advertisements used, including TV commercials aired during family viewing times, internet ads on YouTube, and posters at cinemas. The posters revealed glimpses of the film over time, first showing just a glass slipper to generate intrigue, then a poster of Cinderella running in a blue dress. The marketing aims to attract both fans of the original 1950s version as well as children who may connect it to the film Frozen due to similarities in the female protagonist. The goal is to build excitement around the remake of this classic fairy tale story.
The document discusses various photographic terminology:
- Shutter speed refers to the length of time the camera shutter is open when taking a photo. Longer shutter speeds result in blurred images while faster shutter speeds capture motion clearly.
- ISO refers to the sensitivity of the camera sensor to light, and works together with shutter speed and aperture to determine exposure. Higher ISO admits more light but results in grainier images.
- Aperture refers to the diameter of the lens opening and controls the amount of light. Smaller f-stops admit less light while larger f-stops admit more light. Aperture also impacts depth of field.
- Manual exposure allows setting shutter speed, aperture, and ISO manually to achieve a desired exposure

Enhancing the Human Phenotype Ontology for Use by the LaypersonNicole Vasilevsky
Presentation at the International Conference on Biological Ontology & BioCreative, August 1-4, 2016, Corvallis, Oregon, USA.
Abstract
In rare or undiagnosed diseases, physicians rely upon genotype and phenotype information in order to compare abnormalities to other known cases and to inform diagnoses. Patients are often the best sources of information about their symptoms and phenotypes. The Human Phenotype Ontology (HPO) contains over 12,000 terms describing abnormal human phenotypes. However, the labels and synonyms in the HPO primarily use medical terminology, which can be difficult for patients and their families to understand. In order to make the HPO more accessible to non-medical experts, we systematically added new synonyms using non-expert terminology (i.e., layperson terms) to the existing HPO classes or tagged existing synonyms as layperson. As a result, the HPO contains over 6,000 classes with layperson synonyms.

This document analyzes magazine covers and articles from Kerrang! magazine and Scoot-Mag. For the Kerrang! magazine cover, the summary notes the bright colors and use of words like "awesome" suggest a younger target audience of 13+. A double page article is also described as using an untidy font and focusing more on images than text. For the Scoot-Mag cover, the summary explains the main rider featured does an insane trick to attract younger readers, and the colors match his favorite color. A double page article about a new sponsored rider keeps the writing brief and features varied images of the rider.
This production log documents Sarah Murray's process for creating an advertisement video for a fictional product called Elyts Products as part of her BTEC course. It involved extensive research on advertising techniques and conventions. Sarah then created storyboards and conducted pre-production planning. Filming took place over two weeks due to weather delays. Editing in Adobe Premier Pro involved cutting footage to sync with the chosen song. The finished 30-second video was uploaded to YouTube and received positive feedback.
This document provides an assignment brief for a unit on photography. The assignment requires students to complete four tasks: 1) create a blog evaluating different uses of photography; 2) create a PowerPoint on photographic techniques and complete mini photo shoots; 3) complete two photo shoots on landscapes and portraits and select final images; and 4) evaluate the project and select final images. The deadline is December 18th and the assignment aims to develop students' understanding and practical skills in photography.
Cross-selling involves selling additional products or services to existing customers and can boost revenue. To cross-sell effectively, train employees in cross-selling techniques, understand customer needs, offer bundled products at various price points, and focus on meeting customer needs rather than just pushing more products. Cross-selling is an important sales technique when done right by understanding and serving customers.
The document discusses theories of bone growth and development. It explains that bone growth involves deposition of new bone on one surface and resorption on the other surface. This results in cortical drift, where the bone cortex relocates due to modeling on opposing surfaces. As bones enlarge, they also undergo displacement, moving away from articulating structures. The maxilla and mandible each have characteristic growth trajectories as they develop. Overall, bone growth is a complex process involving deposition, resorption, remodeling, and movement of bones.

Federico Leonardo Lucia in

in provincia, precisamente a
Rozzano e a Corsico.
Dopo una serie infinita di
SoldOut, con un successo che
sembra inarrestabile, Fedez
arriva a Langhirano. E’ da
considerare decisamente
il fenomeno dell’anno, ha
guadagnato il disco di platino,
ha conquistato la vetta della
classifica FIMI.
Con la stessa ironia e il
sarcasmo che utilizza nei
sui pezzi, mette in scena un
vero e proprio show teatrale,

stante.
Anche a livello amministrati-
vo il Festival è cambiato. Non
sono più i tempi dei grandi
nomi e dei grandi investimenti,
ma è il tempo dell’impegno e
del sacrificio, della introduzio-
ne di nuove idee e intuizioni,
per mantenere questo evento
ai vertici nel panorama delle
fiere gastronomiche italiane.
Per raggiungere l’obiettivo, in
questi anni, abbiamo stabilito
alcune partnership importanti,
come quella con l’Ente Fiere
di Parma durante lo svolgi-
mento del Salone del Camper.
Allo stesso tempo, abbiamo
cercato di intensificare i rap-
porti con il Consorzio del Pro-
sciutto di Parma e con le realtà
produttive del territorio, chie-
dendo a tutti uno sforzo per
mantenere il nome di Langhi-
rano e del prosciutto ai livelli
che meritano.
Abbiamo scommesso su
eventi musicali di altissimo
valore artistico che non pesa-
no direttamente sul bilancio
comunale. Abbiamo stabilito
con i commercianti e con i
produttori locali un rapporto
di collaborazione indirizzato
alla promozione dei marchi e
delle attività anche al di fuori
del nostro territorio.
Fare il Sindaco in quest’ul-
timo periodo non è cosa faci-
le. Il taglio dei trasferimenti
statali, il patto di stabilità e i
numerosi problemi che una
comunità deve affrontare met-
tono a dura prova chi, come
me, ha sempre avuto come pri-
orità i cittadini che amministra
e le loro esigenze, soprattutto
in ambito sociale.
Sono orgoglioso di essere
il Sindaco di questa cittadi-
na. Sono orgoglioso perché,
insieme agli Amministratori,
ai Consiglieri e ai dipendenti
comunali, ho gestito un terre-
moto e ricostruito e messo in
sicurezza tutti gli edifici tocca-
ti dal sisma del 2008.
Sono orgoglioso di essere
stato un Sindaco vicino ai pro-
blemi reali dei langhiranesi,
alle difficoltà sociali che sono
sempre state affrontate con
estrema sensibilità e attenzio-
ne dal sottoscritto, dalla Giun-
ta e dagli Uffici competenti, e
alle quali si è sempre onesta-
mente cercato di dare risposte
adeguate.
Sono orgoglioso di essere il
Sindaco del Comune sede di
Distretto Socio Sanitario, che
vanta strutture avanzate nella
cura e nell’assistenza socio-
sanitaria, come il Centro Cure
Progressive “P. Coruzzi” e
l’Asp Azienda Sociale Sud-
Est.
Sono orgoglioso di aver por-
tato avanti una manifestazione
come il Festival del Prosciutto,
consegnandola a Langhirano,
con i langhiranesi e per i lan-
ghiranesi. Noi siamo il Festi-
val, e forse mi mancheranno
nei prossimi anni tutte queste
emozioni, anche se sono di-
sponibile, seppur non da Sin-
daco, a collaborare ancora e a
offrire la mia esperienza.

Tutti bambini in Castello
a Torrechiara: appuntamenti
di Gioco, Arte e Magia ... è il
compleanno del Signor Pro-
sciutto!
C’era una volta, e c’è anco-
ra, un prodotto così buono e
dolce da meritare grandi onori
nel territorio in cui era nato e
cresciuto...e fu così che diversi
maghi e fate si riunirono per or-
ganizzare una lunga lunga Festa
di Compleanno. Venne scelto
il più bel Castello e furono or-
ganizzati giochi e divertimenti
per gli ospiti più importanti: i
bambini di ogni età! E’così che
oggi possiamo presentare i Fe-
steggiamenti che avranno luogo
dal 6 al 22 Settembre nel pae-
saggio e nelle sale del Castello
di Torrechiara e che trovate qui
di seguito descritti Giorno per
Giorno!
