2. LANDSCAPES
• There are mountain landscapes, flat
landscapes and coastal landscapes.

3. Mountain landscapes
• Mountain landscapes are made up of mountains and
valleys.
• A mountain is a large elevation of the Earth´s surface.
• Valleys are low areas between mountains.
• Several mountains grouped together are called a
mountain range

5. Flat landscapes
• Plains are large areas of flat land with no hills or slopes.

6. COASTAL LANDSCAPES
• The coast is the place where the land meets the sea.
• A cape is land which extends into the sea.
• A gulf is a place where the sea extends into the land.
• A peninsula is land which is almost completely
surrounded by water.
• An island is land which is completely surrounded by
water.
• An archipelago is a group of islands.
• A beach is a sandy shore.

7. A beach
