- 2. Commands Like in English, we can use base verbs to tell people what to do. Look at examples below: Makan! Baca! Duduk! Eat! Read! Sit! However, Indonesian have a particle that makes commands more formal yet softer. Makanlah! Bacalah! Duduklah! Eat! Read! Sit!
- 3. How does it work? use -lah after the base verbs the -lah verbs are put in the beginning of a sentence For example: Makanlah nasi. Eat rice. Bacalah buku. Read a book.
- 4. Latihan 1: Make these commands softer. Minum susu! Tidur sekarang! Ambil buku! Lihat ini! Telepon ibu! Cuci piring!
- 5. Latihan 2: Translate these commands into softer Indonesian. Sit here! Write! Watch TV! Open the door! Close the book! Listen! Walk! Clean your room!
- 6. Latihan 3: What is wrong? Duduk di kursilah Lahdatang ke sekolah Tulis di bukulah! Pulang sekaranglah!
