1. The document provides instructions for a lab assignment to design a network topology using PacketTracer, configure devices including routers, and implement QoS. 2. Students are asked to connect a PC and server to different routers, configure their IP addresses, install WIC modules to the routers for serial ports, connect the routers and assign interface IPs. 3. QoS configuration is to be applied on the R2 outbound interface to guarantee 1Mbps for HTTP, 2Mbps for FTP, 256Kbps for email, with ICMP having best effort service. Students should generate test traffic and verify the configuration is successful.

6. Generate pingsessionswithsize 12000 byte betweenR1and R3 andgenerate some testdata
trafficbasedonthe protocolsstatedabove,i.e.,HTTP,FTP,POP3,SMTP.
7. Verifyif yourconfigurationissuccessful(alsomake sure yourHost1can interconnectwith
Server1) and attach your configurationof all the routers; the snapshot of one successful
connection(selectedfromanyone of HTTP, FTP, POP3, SMTP services) underthe above
ongoingping session.
