Helen asks…
How to travel from Makmur bus express terminal at Kuantan to
Hotel CityView?
Cuti-cuti Malaysia answers:
You can always get a taxi from this bus station but may cost you a bit expensive. The distance
is about 6km and located at Jalan Haji Abdul Aziz, Kuantan. Just beside M.S. Garden Hotel

2. Which nice hotel can accommodate dogs in Kuantan, Malaysia?
Plan to go end Dec 2008 till early January 2009, 4 adults n 3 dogs. Along beach preferred
Oops sorry, Forgot to say Thanks!
Cuti-cuti Malaysia answers:
Not a pleasant time to go during this time of the year due to the monsoon season. If you are
unlucky you just get stuck by flood.
West coast like Malacca or Port Dickson is okay.
Sorry to say most hotels in Malaysia don`t welcome dogs…muslim country.
Carol asks…
How much does a taxi cost in Kuantan?
How much does a taxi cost approximately in Kuantan from the bus stop on Jalan Bukit Sekilau
to the Balok area where the Duta Village hotel is? Also, are taxis as easily available over there
as they are in Kuala Lumpur?
Thank you.

3. Cuti-cuti Malaysia answers:
It should be around RM30-40 per way per taxi. And no they are not that easily flagged down as
in Kuala Lumpur coz its either you book through the hotel you are staying or you have to wait by
the road side and pray for a cab to come.
Er..anyway, are you planning to stay in Duta Village Beach resort?? If yes, hope you havent
make any reservation yet with that hotel coz you WILL REGRET staying in that horrible place!!!
The rooms smelt so damp that you have to cover your nose to breath in the room and the
bathroom..erkk..couldnt say more as its too horrendous!
Do check out the Swiss Garden Hotel which located next to Duta Village. The newly refurbished
Deluxe Seaview rooms are to die for..good facilities and great pool & beach scene.. Good luck
& have fun!

There are direct Express buses from Singapore (Golden Mile) to Kuantan, It cost around $100
for a two way trip. But I would suggest you buy a one way trip and buy a return ticket in Kuantan
(Tickets charged same amount but in RM!)
From Kuantan Bus terminal, just transfer to a taxi which will cost you less than RM$10.
It would take you around 8 hours to reach there, from Singapore.
You can try the following :
- Grassland Express (Tel: 62921166)
- Trans National
- Kinsortium (Tel: 6392 3911)
Check out the advertisment in Straints Times Classified.
There are other transport providers too, but I’d recommend the above.
Drop me a mail, I’ll see if I can assist.
