This study investigates the knowledge and practice of family planning among women of childbearing age in Delta State, Nigeria, highlighting a significant gap between high awareness (93.2%) of contraceptive methods and low usage (31.2%). The findings suggest that many women possess a good understanding of family planning but are influenced by concerns over side effects and cultural factors that hinder adoption. Recommendations include increasing education on the benefits of family planning to improve usage rates and address population growth challenges.
