14. History of Farmers Call Centre in India
First and foremost in the history of the Indian agriculture “farmer
call centre” was started in the Andhra Pradesh on July 1st, 2003 .
Govt. of Andhra Pradesh launched Parishkaram call centre with
agriculture service as its pilot project with experienced scientists of
N.G. Ranga Agricultural University ,Hyderabad.
Central Govt., ICAR and foreign countries Officials have visited
farm call centre to know about its functioning and praised for the
services rendered by scientists to the farmers.
Then Govt. of India converted farmer call center in to Kisan Call
Centre in different states for the benefit of farming community.

websites. It is an important and fast information dissemination
channel. Agri. Portal is an effort in this direction to create one stop
shop for meeting all informational needs relating to Agriculture,
Animal Husbandry and Fisheries sectors production, sale/storage
of an Indian farmer. With this Indian Farmer will not be required
to sift through maze of websites created for specific purposes. e.g.

47. CONCLUSION
Majority of the stakeholders aware and knowledge about
KCC and kisan channel. It is due to governments promotion of
both the programme in different way. It is is free of cost, highly
trustworthy and easy sources of information that even ordinary
people can use without specific training.
