The Relationship Between Osteoporosis And Osteoporosis
Osteoporosis, also known as porous bone, is a disease characterized by low bone mass and
structural deterioration of bone tissue which leads to bone fragility and an increased risks of the
hip, spine, and wrist. Both men and women are affected by this (although it affects women more)
but it can be prevented and treated. In the United States, more than 40 million people either already
have osteoporosisor at a high risk because of low bonemass.
Sir Astley Paston Cooper was a famous English physician, anatomist, and surgeon who first
discovered the association between fractures and bone density reduction because of aging which
created the base for discovering Osteoporosis. Another person who helped with the discovery of
osteoporosis was Jean Lobstein. Around 1833, Lobstein was the first person to medically describe
the pathological condition and appearance of Osteoporosis. He described the condition as, One
with holes in the bone associated with fragility . He was also the one who named the disease.
Another important discovery of the disease is the relationship between osteoporosis with the
postmenopausal state, which was discovered by Fuller Albright. Albright discovered that there is a
direct relationship between the lack of estrogen after menopause and the development of
osteoporosis. After menopause, bone breakdown outrun the building of new bone. Early
menopause, usually before the age of 45, and any prolonged period in which hormone levels are
low and menstrual

Examples Of Faith In Night By Elie Wiesel
Death, murder, bloody horror! The death of many can destroy the minds of millions, just imagine
what the death of millions can do to one s mind and soul. The Holocaust was a horrific event,
changing people s hearts and even their relationships with god after millions were forced to watch
others die, be burned, and starved. This event of this mass murder is a great example of how man
can be so inhumane to one another and how those events can have a great effect on someone s faith.
Throughout the story Night, we followed Ellie throughout his experience in the holocaust. On many
occasions others were forced to watch other Jewish be killed. The first sign of this which caused
loss of faith was Moishe the Beadle, who was a very religious man, after ... Show more content on

Why, but why would I bless Him? Every fiber in me rebelled. Because He caused thousands of
children to burn in His mass graves? Because he kept six crematoria working day and night,
including Sabbath and the Holy Days? Because His great might, He had created Auschwitz,
Birkenau, Buna, and so many other factories of death. (Wiesel 67). This example shows how
Elie is losing his faith. Wiesel does not understand how if God, The Almighty , was real with the
greatest power how he could allow the burning and killing of so many innocent people and if He
was then Elie would no longer want to praise someone of that much cruelty. Later Wiesel gives a
greater example of how he loses his faith in god. And I, the former mystic, was thinking: Yes, man
is stronger, Greater than God. When Adam and Eve deceived You, You chased them from
paradise, when You displeased by Noah s generation, You brought down the flood... But look at
these men whom You have betrayed, allowing them to be tortured, slaughtered, gassed, and burned,
what do they do? They pray before you! (Wiesel 68). This continues to show that Elie is extremely
confused how God could turn his back on them when they worship him and didn t do anything to
get this type of torture such as

Keynesian Economics and the Mortgage Crisis
Keynesian Economics and the Mortgage Crisis The recent mortgage crisis in the US was
unprecedented. It led to a massive clampdown of financial institutions, occasioning one of the
worst financial melt downs the US has ever faced (Jaffe, 2008). Quite naturally, it would be
necessary to examine the cause of the crisis in order to draft prophylactic measures that would
prevent the same financial disaster in the future. This paper will discuss the events that led to the
mortgagecrisis.
The housing bubble One of the factors that led to the mortgage crisis was the housing bubble. It
started in 2001 and climaxed in 2005. A housing bubble is characterized by rapid increase in the
value of real estate properties to an extent that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When the housing bubble came tumbling down, there were high defaults rates on the electorate
and this led to the emergence of high risk borrowers (Bianco, 2008). These were people with a
questionable financial history and may have lacked the sufficient means to sustain their mortgage
payments and hence, went under. This occasioned massive loses to all the players in the housing
sector. The worst hit was the lenders and the various investors. Real estate values further rose,
luring lenders into taking more risks in their financial transactions. All this was done in the hope
of raking in huge sums of dollars since the prices of the mortgages had gone up. Consequently, a
large number of people, including those who would not have qualified under normal conditions,
were able to secure mortgages. They soon realized that they had blundered but it was too late. Due
to increased supply of homes being disposed off by lenders and other financial institutions, the
demand went down sharply. There was no more money flowing in the economy as many people
now stopped taking the mortgages. This could have resulted into the mortgage crisis.
Declining risk premiums Interestingly, declining risk premiums encouraged lenders to consider
higher risk borrowers for loans. A Federal Reserve study indicates that there was a general decline
in the difference between mortgage

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)
Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) are autoimmune disease whose incidence and prevalence are
increasing worldwide. The two major types of IBD are ulcerative colitis (UC), which is limited to
the colonic mucosa, and Crohn disease (CD), which can affect any segment of the gastrointestinal
tract from the mouth to the anus, involves skip lesions , and is transmural. There is a genetic
predisposition for IBD, and patients with this condition are more prone to the development of
malignancy. Although both UC and CD have distinct pathologic findings, approximately 10 15% of
patients cannot be classified into either type; in such patients, the disease is labeled as
indeterminate colitis. Systemic symptoms are common in IBD and include fever, sweats, malaise,
and arthralgias. UC and CD share many extraintestinal manifestations, although some of these tend
to occur more commonly with either condition. Eye skin mouth joint extraintestinal manifestations
(such as oral aphthae, erythema nodosum, large joint arthritis, and episcleritis) reflect active
disease, whereas pyoderma gangrenosum, primary sclerosing cholangitis, ankylosing spondylitis,
uveitis, kidney stones, and gallstones may occur in quiescent disease. In UC, the inflammation

Cronus Research Paper
Cronus: The Father of Gods
Have you ever heard the tale of the father that ate his own children so that he could maintain
authority? In Greek mythology, Cronus was a crazed deity who did anything to keep his reign as
lord of the Titans. He has been worshipped for centuries as the god of harvest, and is usually
depicted holding a scythe or a sickle in either one of his hands. Additionally, Cronusis also regarded
by many as the god of ages and time, particularly when mass destruction occurs. Being the ancestor
of all twelve Olympian gods, he plays an extensive part in Greek mythology. From Ancient Greece
to today, Cronus has left a legacy as colossal as the Titans themselves.
Born as the youngest in the generation of Titans, Cronus had wanted to obtain power and was
envious of his father, the god of the sky, Uranus. His chance finally came to him when his mother,
Gaia, the goddess of earth, called upon her children with a request. She had asked them who was
brave enough to cast a dreadful punishment on Uranus for a task he had done previously to Gaia.
Only Cronus was willing enough to take the quest. Gaia equipped him with a grand, stone sickle
and sent him to castrate his father as divine retribution. After completing the burden, Cronus quickly
dismissed Uranus and with his sister ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Sun Was The Main One Essay
1. Emily s said that heat is hot air from the sun that can make us warm, and can be used which is
correct. However, she does not know how heat is formed or its movement abilities.
2. Emily had no understanding of the term friction . She may possibly identify that hands rubbing
together cause them to warm up, but she has no prior knowledge to give a friction topic response.
3. The Science concept that the sun is an important natural energy source where heat comes from
was identified by Emily. As suggested her idea was that the sun was the main one .
4. It can be said that Emily knows that the season of summer represents heat and hotness, as she
used the words the asphalt is really hot and heats up . A misconception is again the lack of theory
as to why the asphalt gets really hot.
5. Emily demonstrated sound knowledge of what evaporation is, regarding the picture of the water
cycle. A response using scientific terminology in relation to evaporation involving the water cycle
process was not given at this stage.
6. The student provided me with many examples if how heat is used in everyday life. Emily s
views were of excellent standard and more importantly accurate. No misconception of how heat is
beneficial and can be used in everyday life.
7. Again for a year 6 student, Emily possessed extensive ideas about the world around her, by
mentioning nature such as lava and stars; and hand made objects like a furnace and a light

Edwin Arlington Robinson’s The Mill Essay
Edwin Arlington Robinson s The Mill
Lucius Beebe critically analyzes Edwin Arlington Robinson s, The Mill best. Beebe s analysis is
from an objective point of view. He points out to the reader that what seems so obvious may not
be. She notes The Mill is just a sad little tale of double suicide brought on by the encroachment of
the modern world and by personal loss. Thus meaning The Mill carries a deeper underlying theme.
Lucius Beebe expresses that a minor overflow of significant details has been exposed over Edwin
Arlington Robinson s The Mill, much of it concerned with whether the miller s wife did indeed
drown herself after the miller had hanged himself. Another, even more provocative question has
never been asked: did the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The colon after said implies an appositive clause equal in value to what went before, here the
thoughts of the miller s wife as she waited by the dead fire. There are no millers anymore, / Was
all that she had heard him say closes the parenthesis of past perfect tense that the first line opens,
containing within it the miller s actual words, which Beebe and the reader can take to be the
objective fulcrum upon which the rest of this intensely subjective poem balances.
It is even clearer that the past perfect is this stanza s essential condition of being when we come
to the second past perfect verb, had lingered, found in a clause subordinate to the one before.
Thus, Lucius Beebe points out that Robinson sets up the stanza as a sort of verbal chandelier,
with one clause hanging upon the meaning and mode of that before, and with the framework of
past perfect verbs giving definition and tone to the whole. Robinson achieves much the same effect
in the second stanza, which opens with the miller s wife sick with a fear that had no form, which
implies that the fear has a continuation in the past. Beebe implies that a certain poetic inertia
militates against supposing change, and much more is needed to indicate or certify such change
than exists. This hypothesis is reinforced by the rest of the stanza, a single sentence formed by a
pair of past conditional clauses. What he had meant, as direct object, parallels What else

One of the reasons why Queen Kapiolani was such a great queen was because of her great morals.
She always helped the Hawaiian citizens by creating chants, and staying with her roots. An
example of that would be when she was living in Hawaii. Queen Kapiolani was fluent in English

Other than only speaking in Hawaiian, Queen Kapiolani also created memorable chants for the
Hawaiians. With chants like He Mele and Mele La na i, Queen Kapiolani created over 15 chants
for Hawaii, most of them we use today while performing hula. This is what makes Queen
Kapiolani one of Hawaii s greatest queens because this show the amount of time effort she puts
into helping Hawaii. She is not only to create chants for Hawaii, but she also was able to build
monuments like the Iolani Palace.
If creating historical chants and having good morals was not enough, Queen Kapiolani also
created the only palace in the United States of America. Before the beautiful palace that we see
today, the original palace had many flaws. King David Kalakaua, Kapiolani husband, has been
stressing that the palace needs repairs to show a more appropriate structure for the royal residence.
In 1878, King Kalakaua got his wish, as funds were received for the remodeling to commence.

Mental Health For All By Involving All
Mental illness is a broad spectrum of many diseases, from autism to depression and dementia. One
in four people suffer from mental illness, and more often than not, those affected with mental
illness are not treated. It is not an illness you can see or touch, but an illness in the mind, and
today s society does not see it as an issue worth discussing. Imagine if you suffered from a mental
illnessand were not able to receive the help you needed to have a good quality of life. In
developing countries, this is not just imagination, however but a harsh reality. They will statically
unhealthier and will live shorter lives compared to those who do not suffer from any form of
mental illness. ( Transcript of Mental healthfor all by involving all ) Dr. Vikram Patel, a Psychiatrist
and Professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropic Medicine, has a plan to change all that.
Patel s idea is to train individuals in developing countries to be able to perform basic psychological
treatment to those affected in rural or developing areas.
To begin a way to get proper mental health care treatment to other areas, Patel has established a
plan of action to get that care to certain individuals by receiving it from people they trust, their
very own neighbors. This type of health care system has been around for centuries in different
ways. The Native Americans had the Medicine Man, and the Europeans had the mid wife. If a

Cause Of The English Revolution
In 17th century, series of rebellions and civil wars occurred, known famously as the English
Revolution. These events occurred primarily as the result of a power struggle between
Parliament and the king. The revolutions served to decide how the power would be distributed in
the English government. The events that led up to the English Revolution began largely after the
death of Queen Elizabeth I, marking the end of the Tudor dynasty in 1603. James I was crowned
king, and the Stuart dynasty began. James, unlike his predecessor, believed in divine right of
kings, a concept that said kings were chosen for the position by God and were all powerful. This is
a concept opposite to that of popular sovereignty, in which the power of governmentwas given and
sustained by the people, rather than god. This created a rift... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Dissension among Parliament and the people of England was increased by the fact that James
was strongly devoted to the Church of England, which displeased the Puritans, who wished to
make the church more Protestant. Because the lower house of Parliament was composed
primarily of Puritans, the new king was not popular with most of the members of Parliament. At
one point, Parliament passed a law stating that citizens could not be taxed without Parliament s
permission, which limited the king s power. James, who believed in the divine right of kings,
was displeased by this. He believed that, as a man chosen by god to be a supreme ruler, he should
not follow laws, and did not believe in the concept of constitutionalism. Constitutionalism is a
concept that says all rulers must obey laws, regardless of standing. Henry I, son of James, further
displeased the Puritans by attempting to force ritual on the Church of England, making it seem
more Catholic. The Puritans believed Henry to be an enemy of liberty, particularly religious
liberty, as he was trying to take away their religious

Create 2 formulas, one that will calculate the last number in terms of the first number and a

In order to put the problem into perspective, I first set up my own possible variables for the first
platform height, the difference in height between each platform, and the total number of platforms.

To find out the total height we could add the height of all of the platforms. However, the total
height can also be determined by a formula since the increase in height from platform to platform
is the same. What I saw was that there are pairs within the heights of the first platform and last
platform that when added result to the same number. For example: If there are 5 platforms in
total, the first platform is 4 feet and the increase in height is 2 feet, the height of the platforms in
order are: 4, 6, 8, 10, 12.
The height of the last platform is 12 and the height of the first platform is 4. When we add 4 and
12 the result is 16 and divided by 2 is 8. The 2nd platform is 6 feet and the 4rth platform is 10
feet When added together and divided by 2 to get the average we get 8. The platform is the
average number, which is 8. I saw this and put it into a formula. I took the height of the first
platform and added it to the last platform, and substituted it for the variables f+l (where l=the
height of the last platform). Then I took the total number of platforms and divided it by 2 to get the
average, and multiplied it by the average of both platforms to get the total height of all of the
platforms. This resulting number is the total length required in square feet of fabric to cover the
fronts of the platforms.
I got the formula (x/2)

Pierre-Auguste Renoir Essay
Pierre Auguste Renoir
Pierre Auguste Renoir was born in 1841 to a tailor and dressmaker. He attended a Christian
Brother s School where he was taught the rudiments of drawing. At the age of 13 he was
apprenticed to a firm of porcelain painters, Levy Freres et Compagnie, whose workshops were near
the Louvre. At the same time, he took drawing lessons from the sculptor Callouette. After serving
his apprenticeship as a porcelain painter, he worked for a M. Gilbert, a manufacturer of blinds. In
1860 he became a student of Charles Gleyre and enrolled at the Ecole des Beaux Arts. In April,
1864 he came out 10th of 106th candidates in a sculpture and drawing examination there.

He had become averse to the depiction of the ephemeral, of the fleeting moment, and started to seek
the art of the museums . It is in the museum that one must learn to paint. One must make the
paintings of one s own time, but it is there in the museum that one develops the taste for painting,
which nature alone cannot provide. The most spectacular example of the influence of Italian art on
Renoir can be found in The Bathers. The hardness of outline, the smooth glossy texture and clarity
of colour are the grounding for The Bathers. This can be considered his classical phase.
Renoir was a remarkably versatile artist, his work ranged from portraits and scenes of Parisian
life to landscapes and eventually nudes. An interest in sculpture was sparked in 1906, when a
bust was made of him by Mailloll. In 1913 Renoir employed 23 year old Richard Guino as his
teacher and assistant, and his collaboration with Guinno produced 14 figures and bas reliefs.
Renior was blatantly anti Semitic, strongly believed in the panacea like benefits of religion, and
felt that Education is the downfall of the working classes . His attitude toward women hardly
coincides with the adoration of their beauty expressed in his paintings. He regarded the inferiority
of women as axiomatic. His son Jean said that he once

Baroque music began in Italy and it spread to all other parts of Europe. The musical characters in
the baroque era pursued interests in subjectivity of the observers and created a deep human

The messiah is characterized by an orchestral restraint something that was ignored by other

Of Mice And Men Symbolism Essay

The Global Issue Of The Industrial Revolution
The industrial revolution known for many things including the peak point where human population
hit one billion. It took humans 130 years to hit two billion and as time moved on it took less and

a great thing in the industrial revolution but now in the twenty first century population has become
a global issue. A global issue can be identified because it is not only affecting the whole humanrace,

The Importance Of Freedom Rides
Imagine how it would feel if you were not allowed to go into the same bathroom as everyone
else, if you were told to sit in a cut off section of a restaurant, or if you were made to sit on the
back of a public bus. African Americans had to endure that way of life majority of the 20th
century. They did not get the same equal rights as any other human beings in America(Lifson).
Because of the mistreatment, African Americans began to take a stand and speak out on the
injustices they face everyday just because of the color of their skin, and it began a powerful
movement. They had multiple protest to push for equal rights: sit ins, marches, bus boycotts, etc. In

national director, was the man who organized the new generation of freedom rides(the freedom

goals when starting the freedom rides was to desegregate interstate transportation facilities in the
south in a nonviolent way. C.O.R.E recruited young college students to go on this journey(core

so they prepared the recruits like football coaches prepare their players to get tackled. C.O.R.E
practiced role playing situations with the recruits to train them on what would be said/what would
be done to them. While role playing, hateful things would be said and the students would even be
physically harmed. The preparation was emotionally and physically rough, but it was nothing

bitterness started to take hold. Miles mentions that, during his tenure as a musician, had to fight
back against the styles of Louie Satchmo Armstrong, because he grinned too much; Similarly, he
lists Beulah Buckwheat and Rochester as combatants, due to the fact that they influenced too many
white people s attitudes towards blacks. (Davis 98) Davis social focus has always been on that of

Why The Treatment And Correction Of Prisoners
The treatment and correction of prisoners is one of the focus of many countries around the world,
especially countries within Europe and North America. The way that prisoners with a psychological
illness are treated within the Federal prison system, gives an overall image of how the country
looks. Another reason why treatment and correctionsof prisoners is important is due to the immense
amount of public interest on the rehabilitation of prisoners, and is conscious about releasing
prisoners back into society before they can be properly rehabilitated or treated for the
psychological illness. Many of the psychological include but are not limited to are Antisocial

Effect of Light Color on Plants
Introduction
Living organisms have been classified by humans according to several different characteristics, one
of them being the manner in which they obtain nutritive organic molecules (1), in other words, their
food. Plants are denominated as autotrophs, organisms that can produce their own food from abiotic
sources surrounding them, such as light, carbon dioxide and water (2). Plants use these three
factors in photosynthesis to convert light energy into chemical energy, which is then stored until the
plant needs it, or used right away (3).
The process of photosynthesis takes place on organelles (substructures inside eukaryotic cells)
called chloroplasts, more specifically, on the membrane of the thylakoids inside the chloroplasts, ...

History Of Managed Care And Health Maintenance Organizations
Those of us who have served in the Military a very familiar with managed care, we may not
totally understand the concept of managed cared but are recipients of it daily. Unless there is a
heated political debate about health care reform we usually don t worry about health care
reform. Health care cost is not something that we worry about; after all the government takes
care of all our medical needs, even when we are seen out on the economy. The only time we
might the troubles of health cost might visit our door steps occur when family members decided
to see an out of network provider, we are them held accountable for paying medical bills. What I
failed to realize during my time on active duty, Tricare is just another form of a managed care
program. In this essay we will explore the history of managed care and Health Maintenance
Organizations (HMOs). Additional, we ll take a look at how managed came about, and the future of
managed care and health care reform in the U.S.
What is managed care and where did it come from? According to Medicaid. Gov, managed care
is a health care delivery system organized to managed cost, utilization, and quality
(Medicaid.gov, 2014). The begins of managed care can be dated back to 1910, consumers paid
$.50 a month for medical care. During this time there weren t checks and balances nor were there

If protein deficiency is continued, this could lead to muscle deterioration, digestive problems and
severe weight loss. Eating too few carbohydrates can cause the body to find another source for
energy, such as protein which is needed for energy and muscle tissue. Additionally, carbohydrates
are the primary source for glucose that is needed for the brain to function properly. Consuming to
few lipids does not provide the necessary energy needed for the body, which decrease metabolism
and hormone production.
Fiber Intake Ranges
The fiber intakes meet the recommendation calculated by I Profile. Since the recommendation
was met, I believe that the fiber intake was just right. However, I do not believe that my diet met
the minimum number of servings of food from each of the fiber containing groups. I believe that
the both groups for fruits and vegetables fell short of the minimum number of servings. The
specific foods that provided the most fiber were pasta, and a bagel. Whereas, the foods that
provided the least were the BBQ chips, Croissant, sausage. It appears that the trend in my food
choices is that there are not enough fruits and vegetables, which affects my fiber intake.
Dietary Modifications
The identifiable patterns are that there is not enough consumption of balanced food choices, not
eating regularly and that processed food is selected more often.

Thom Gunn’s In the Tank
Thom Gunn s In the Tank A Manifestation of the Human Consciousness
A thorough analysis of subject material and literary style exhibits the complexity of establishing a
strong thematic base, which does not deter from the ebb and flow of a poetic medium . In Thom
Gunn s In the Tank, a felon is overwhelmed by emotion at the state of his existence in prison. In
what appears to be a moment s reflection, Thom Gunn s narrator in In the Tank reveals an
abundance of sentiment pertaining to his environment. From meticulous description of the prison

Thus being established, literary devices are used in the description of the tank.
The second stanza of Tank begins with a course of alliteration that is both an enlightening and
confusing commentary on the poem. The cell was clean and cornered, and contained (line 5).
Upon a visual appreciation of the line, c is repeated four times. However, when the line is
spoken out loud, cell is pronounced with a soft se while clean and cornered, and contained are
pronounced with a hard k sound. Gunn s use of adjectives to describe the man s surroundings are
proof of the figurative difference between a cell and a tank. A cell is what the institution gives an
inmate. It is exactly what Gunn has described it as: clean and cornered, and contained. A tank,
relatively speaking, is a continuation of the cell, beyond what the institution issues. The word cell
acts as a façade for the true definition of the word (the clean and cornered and contained aspect
of the cell). The cell, in turn, is a part of the inmate s consciousness through exposure and constant
scrutiny of surroundings and becomes the tank. The use of the past tense indicates the flow of
events from a cell to a tank. The cell was clean and cornered and contained. Granted, the cell was
all these, but what has the tank become? After all, the environment is described as the felon s tank
in line one. Again, an insinuation of

Wizard Of Oz Hero Essay
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, shows a new generation that anyone can be a
hero. Most heroic stories before this time showcased men as the hero but The Wonderful Wizard
of Oz gives a new perspective of what a hero can be.
Through the feministic values in this story and the classic heroic characteristics, Dorothy shows
how a woman can be heroic. She shows her heroic characteristics by her kind heart, outspoken
voice, and her unwavering and courageous strength. Most heroic stories including The Wonderful
Wizard of Oz follow a similar pattern. Joseph Campbell constructed the book titled The Hero with a
Thousand Faces, to show the common patterns that are in may hero stories, and to show the
basic stages that a great deal of heros go through. Dorothy goes through several of the stages
portrayed in The Hero with a Thousand Faces. Dorothy s ordinary world, otherwise referred to as
Kansas, is very gray and boring, but when she to travels to Oz she finds that the world is bright,
colorful, and exciting. From the moment Dorothy lands in Oz she wants to go home, but like all
heros she must first undergo many challenges before she can return home. Through different
supernatural aids, allies, and trials she journeys to find a way home. Heros do not always have to
be the biggest and strongest, they can just be brave and caring. Dorothy shows her heroic
characteristics in many different ways. First off, Dorothy does not want to hurt anyone. When she
realized that her

The beneficial effect of meditation for people with chronic conditions is also proven by Chan
Larson (2015), however, their point of view is that further research on the topic is necessary due to
the inconsistency of the results. After examining the multiple research studies, the authors argue
that meditation may result in significant improvements in anxiety, depression, and chronic disease
symptoms . Furthermore, they state that people with chronic diseases relate more positively with
their body, which is resulting in increased activity levels and improved quality of life (Chan Larson,
2015). In some studies, the accent was made on improvement that is achieved in perception or
acceptance of a specific symptom when the symptom itself was not changed. Meditation also
relieved the manifestations of multiple sclerosis, epilepsy and peripheral neuropathy (Chan Larson,
2015). In addition, this complementary treatment modality has the beneficial effects on attention
span, sleep quality and latency, and enhanced well being (Morone, Lynch, Greco, Tindle, Weiner,
2008).
What critique and/or reflection would you make of the module and the author s points considering
your own experience and knowing and the learning you gained from the module on this topic?
After exploring the module and the article, I believe that meditation is especially beneficial for the

Got Milk Essay
Got Milk? An AnalysisGot Milk? is perhaps one of the greatest marketing taglines ever. It has
become practically ingrained in our culture since its debut in 1993. Milk is not a very high
interest item in people s lives. It s a staple, said Jeff Goodby, creator of the slogan. Although milk
is not new, not improved, and generally considered boring, the Got Milk? ads are stunningly
effective because of its simplicity, use of celebrities, and broad audience reach.
The best slogans, San Diego State University marketing professor George Belch says, don t require
consumers to do too much thinking, but they shouldn t be blanket statements, either. Got Milk? is
not only simple, but it motivates the consumer. The message is: always have milk around. The
Got Milk? campaign did it with humor and suddenly it became cool to drink milk. What helped
push it even further was using the celebrity cachet. By utilizing that, awareness of drinking milk
has increased by 90% since its early 90 s launch. The ad company got famous athletes, comedians,
pop stars, game show hosts, and even cartoon characters sporting milk mustaches with a healthy
milk fact vaguely related to the celebrity being featured. In the Simpson s Got Milk? ad, Bart jokes
about the milk mustaches and Lisa retorts with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, they re targeted to different audiences. The Simpsons were everywhere in the 90 s,
every kid could easily recognize them. The Three Stooges were irrelevant by the time the 90 s
rolled around but they were still recognizable to the older generation who grew up with black and
white tv, therefore it s targeted more to seniors. All things considered, milk is not new, not
improved, and generally considered unexciting. The Got Milk? ads are anything but because of its
simplicity, use of relevant pop culture icons, and a wide demographic variety. So have a cow,

Why Did Beowulf Survive In Anglo Saxon Time
During the Anglo Saxon time period loyalty and bravery were necessary characteristics of a man.
During this time period, where surviving was difficult only the strongest survived. Beowulf was

society s search. Strength, bravery, and the desire for glory were three qualities that make Beowulf
an epic hero.
The Anglo Saxon time period was a time where survival of the fittest was one of the largest
aspects of society. The text states Beowulf, /A prince of the Geats, had killed Grendel, /Ended
the grief, the sorrow, the suffering /Forced on Hrothgar s helpless people /By a bloodthirsty
fiend. No Dane doubted /The victory, for the proof, hanging high /From the rafters where
Beowulf had hung it, was the monster s /Arm, claw and shoulder and all (352 359). Beowulf was

A Comparison Of The Short Story The Monkey s Paw, By...
W. W. Jacobs wrote the short story The Monkey s Paw in 1902. A great number of adaptations of
the story have since been created using different forms of media. The two which are being
compared here are the play adaptation The Monkey s Paw dramatized by Mara Rockliff and the
2011 film version The Monkey s Paw by Ricky Lewis Jr. Both the play and film feature the
White family receiving a monkey s paw by which three wishes may be granted. The paw had a
spell put on it by a holy man who wanted to show that fate rules people s lives and that if people
try to interfere, they will be sorry. The main differences between the play and the film are that film
gives more background information about how and why the paw was obtained, uses more... Show

This setting does not convey the same feeling danger or foreshadowing of trouble to come. The
viewer may question in the play version why Morris would proceed with making wishes upon
the paw after stating that the first owner had wished for death. The information given through
the film of Morris seeking out the fakir in order to change his bad fortunes and being the person
who requested a spell be placed to grant wishes plants the seed for the viewer that Morris may
have already been in a desperate situation and therefore the viewer can more easily accept that he
would wish upon it. As the plot in both adaptations develop, Morris visit to the White s home is
portrayed differently. The use of alcohol in the film prior to Morris displaying the paw to the
family could be interpreted as an action taken only after his wits have been inhibited. The film
uses flash backs to dramatize the power of the paw when it is mentioned during the conversation
with the White family. The potential harm that can be caused by the paw is better expressed in
the Lewis film version by Morris when he is asked why he kept it he stated that, he kept it to
guard it . He never allows any of the family to handle the paw and it is not until Mr. White takes it
away from him as he is attempting to throw it in the fire. At the end of the evening when Morris
was leaving he tries to get Mr.

Meat Consumption
23 May 2011
One Bite At a Time Most Americans are aware of global warming, cancer, heart disease and the
fact that the earth s supply of good water is diminishing. In an effort to conserve our planet people
drive hybrid cars, recycle, and use low energy light bulbs and appliances, which is great. However,
most Americans are unaware and uninformed about how meat effects global warming, our health,
and how much of our planet s water and resources meat production consumes. Meat contributes to
global warming, increases risk for cancer, causes heart disease and uses a tremendous amount of
resources to produce, therefore people need to be informed about what they are eating through food

Heart Disease and Cancer are the number one and two killers in America. Almost one of every

a rapid pace. Everyone knows someone who had or has cancer or heart disease. They are awful
diseases, and a high fat, animal based diet is the single most significant cause of death from heart
disease (Marcus 3). If people cut back or eliminated animal products from their diets, not only
would they be eating less of the foods that cause their bodies harm, they would be eating more
nutrient rich foods (fruits and vegetables) that help fight off and prevent disease. Doctors like
Dean Ornish and John MacDougall have discovered that plant based diets have the power to

Education in America
Education in the United States is a very crucial part of a person s life. Going to school opens doors
and facilitates the pathway for future individual achievement and economic success. Formal
education is a conscious effort by human society to convey the skills and modes of thought
considered essential for social functioning.
According to the census 2000, the total number of people in school between nursery and high
school is approximately 57 million. Out of those 57 million, roughly 49 million are in public school.

Today, however, it seems as if the public has lost track of the importance of a great educational
system. The main issue today s public schools faces are funding problems. There is not enough
money allocated to support the growing needs of school across the nation.
Most of the other problems the schools face are directly related to the funding issue. Buildings
are run down and sometimes mobile because of the lack of finances. No child wants to go to
school in a dreary building that smells bad. It makes it hard to concentrate and hard to study in
buildings such as this. Every school has some type of sport being played by the students. For
some, sports are the only reason they do not drop out of school. However, if finances are not
available then the school should focus mostly on the education of all of its students as a whole,
not just a few who think they cannot make it without sports. Without the financial issues, schools
have even more problems. School violence is becoming more and more common. School should
be a place where children come to learn and be with their peers, in a very good environment. It
should not be a place where children are afraid to go because of the anger or hurt of other children.
This is probably the major issue of the public today.
No matter what the issue, schools have important issues that they have to work around and with

  • 2. The Relationship Between Osteoporosis And Osteoporosis Osteoporosis, also known as porous bone, is a disease characterized by low bone mass and structural deterioration of bone tissue which leads to bone fragility and an increased risks of the hip, spine, and wrist. Both men and women are affected by this (although it affects women more) but it can be prevented and treated. In the United States, more than 40 million people either already have osteoporosisor at a high risk because of low bonemass. Sir Astley Paston Cooper was a famous English physician, anatomist, and surgeon who first discovered the association between fractures and bone density reduction because of aging which created the base for discovering Osteoporosis. Another person who helped with the discovery of osteoporosis was Jean Lobstein. Around 1833, Lobstein was the first person to medically describe the pathological condition and appearance of Osteoporosis. He described the condition as, One with holes in the bone associated with fragility . He was also the one who named the disease. Another important discovery of the disease is the relationship between osteoporosis with the postmenopausal state, which was discovered by Fuller Albright. Albright discovered that there is a direct relationship between the lack of estrogen after menopause and the development of osteoporosis. After menopause, bone breakdown outrun the building of new bone. Early menopause, usually before the age of 45, and any prolonged period in which hormone levels are low and menstrual ... • 4. Examples Of Faith In Night By Elie Wiesel Death, murder, bloody horror! The death of many can destroy the minds of millions, just imagine what the death of millions can do to one s mind and soul. The Holocaust was a horrific event, changing people s hearts and even their relationships with god after millions were forced to watch others die, be burned, and starved. This event of this mass murder is a great example of how man can be so inhumane to one another and how those events can have a great effect on someone s faith. Throughout the story Night, we followed Ellie throughout his experience in the holocaust. On many occasions others were forced to watch other Jewish be killed. The first sign of this which caused loss of faith was Moishe the Beadle, who was a very religious man, after ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Why, but why would I bless Him? Every fiber in me rebelled. Because He caused thousands of children to burn in His mass graves? Because he kept six crematoria working day and night, including Sabbath and the Holy Days? Because His great might, He had created Auschwitz, Birkenau, Buna, and so many other factories of death. (Wiesel 67). This example shows how Elie is losing his faith. Wiesel does not understand how if God, The Almighty , was real with the greatest power how he could allow the burning and killing of so many innocent people and if He was then Elie would no longer want to praise someone of that much cruelty. Later Wiesel gives a greater example of how he loses his faith in god. And I, the former mystic, was thinking: Yes, man is stronger, Greater than God. When Adam and Eve deceived You, You chased them from paradise, when You displeased by Noah s generation, You brought down the flood... But look at these men whom You have betrayed, allowing them to be tortured, slaughtered, gassed, and burned, what do they do? They pray before you! (Wiesel 68). This continues to show that Elie is extremely confused how God could turn his back on them when they worship him and didn t do anything to get this type of torture such as ... • 5. Keynesian Economics and the Mortgage Crisis Keynesian Economics and the Mortgage Crisis The recent mortgage crisis in the US was unprecedented. It led to a massive clampdown of financial institutions, occasioning one of the worst financial melt downs the US has ever faced (Jaffe, 2008). Quite naturally, it would be necessary to examine the cause of the crisis in order to draft prophylactic measures that would prevent the same financial disaster in the future. This paper will discuss the events that led to the mortgagecrisis. The housing bubble One of the factors that led to the mortgage crisis was the housing bubble. It started in 2001 and climaxed in 2005. A housing bubble is characterized by rapid increase in the value of real estate properties to an extent that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When the housing bubble came tumbling down, there were high defaults rates on the electorate and this led to the emergence of high risk borrowers (Bianco, 2008). These were people with a questionable financial history and may have lacked the sufficient means to sustain their mortgage payments and hence, went under. This occasioned massive loses to all the players in the housing sector. The worst hit was the lenders and the various investors. Real estate values further rose, luring lenders into taking more risks in their financial transactions. All this was done in the hope of raking in huge sums of dollars since the prices of the mortgages had gone up. Consequently, a large number of people, including those who would not have qualified under normal conditions, were able to secure mortgages. They soon realized that they had blundered but it was too late. Due to increased supply of homes being disposed off by lenders and other financial institutions, the demand went down sharply. There was no more money flowing in the economy as many people now stopped taking the mortgages. This could have resulted into the mortgage crisis. Declining risk premiums Interestingly, declining risk premiums encouraged lenders to consider higher risk borrowers for loans. A Federal Reserve study indicates that there was a general decline in the difference between mortgage ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) are autoimmune disease whose incidence and prevalence are increasing worldwide. The two major types of IBD are ulcerative colitis (UC), which is limited to the colonic mucosa, and Crohn disease (CD), which can affect any segment of the gastrointestinal tract from the mouth to the anus, involves skip lesions , and is transmural. There is a genetic predisposition for IBD, and patients with this condition are more prone to the development of malignancy. Although both UC and CD have distinct pathologic findings, approximately 10 15% of patients cannot be classified into either type; in such patients, the disease is labeled as indeterminate colitis. Systemic symptoms are common in IBD and include fever, sweats, malaise, and arthralgias. UC and CD share many extraintestinal manifestations, although some of these tend to occur more commonly with either condition. Eye skin mouth joint extraintestinal manifestations (such as oral aphthae, erythema nodosum, large joint arthritis, and episcleritis) reflect active disease, whereas pyoderma gangrenosum, primary sclerosing cholangitis, ankylosing spondylitis, uveitis, kidney stones, and gallstones may occur in quiescent disease. • 8. Cronus Research Paper Cronus: The Father of Gods Have you ever heard the tale of the father that ate his own children so that he could maintain authority? In Greek mythology, Cronus was a crazed deity who did anything to keep his reign as lord of the Titans. He has been worshipped for centuries as the god of harvest, and is usually depicted holding a scythe or a sickle in either one of his hands. Additionally, Cronusis also regarded by many as the god of ages and time, particularly when mass destruction occurs. Being the ancestor of all twelve Olympian gods, he plays an extensive part in Greek mythology. From Ancient Greece to today, Cronus has left a legacy as colossal as the Titans themselves. Born as the youngest in the generation of Titans, Cronus had wanted to obtain power and was envious of his father, the god of the sky, Uranus. His chance finally came to him when his mother, Gaia, the goddess of earth, called upon her children with a request. She had asked them who was brave enough to cast a dreadful punishment on Uranus for a task he had done previously to Gaia. Only Cronus was willing enough to take the quest. Gaia equipped him with a grand, stone sickle and sent him to castrate his father as divine retribution. After completing the burden, Cronus quickly dismissed Uranus and with his sister ... • 9. The Sun Was The Main One Essay 1. Emily s said that heat is hot air from the sun that can make us warm, and can be used which is correct. However, she does not know how heat is formed or its movement abilities. 2. Emily had no understanding of the term friction . She may possibly identify that hands rubbing together cause them to warm up, but she has no prior knowledge to give a friction topic response. 3. The Science concept that the sun is an important natural energy source where heat comes from was identified by Emily. As suggested her idea was that the sun was the main one . 4. It can be said that Emily knows that the season of summer represents heat and hotness, as she used the words the asphalt is really hot and heats up . A misconception is again the lack of theory as to why the asphalt gets really hot. 5. Emily demonstrated sound knowledge of what evaporation is, regarding the picture of the water cycle. A response using scientific terminology in relation to evaporation involving the water cycle process was not given at this stage. 6. The student provided me with many examples if how heat is used in everyday life. Emily s views were of excellent standard and more importantly accurate. No misconception of how heat is beneficial and can be used in everyday life. 7. • 10. Edwin Arlington Robinson’s The Mill Essay Edwin Arlington Robinson s The Mill Lucius Beebe critically analyzes Edwin Arlington Robinson s, The Mill best. Beebe s analysis is from an objective point of view. He points out to the reader that what seems so obvious may not be. She notes The Mill is just a sad little tale of double suicide brought on by the encroachment of the modern world and by personal loss. Thus meaning The Mill carries a deeper underlying theme. Lucius Beebe expresses that a minor overflow of significant details has been exposed over Edwin Arlington Robinson s The Mill, much of it concerned with whether the miller s wife did indeed drown herself after the miller had hanged himself. Another, even more provocative question has never been asked: did the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The colon after said implies an appositive clause equal in value to what went before, here the thoughts of the miller s wife as she waited by the dead fire. There are no millers anymore, / Was all that she had heard him say closes the parenthesis of past perfect tense that the first line opens, containing within it the miller s actual words, which Beebe and the reader can take to be the objective fulcrum upon which the rest of this intensely subjective poem balances. It is even clearer that the past perfect is this stanza s essential condition of being when we come to the second past perfect verb, had lingered, found in a clause subordinate to the one before. Thus, Lucius Beebe points out that Robinson sets up the stanza as a sort of verbal chandelier, with one clause hanging upon the meaning and mode of that before, and with the framework of past perfect verbs giving definition and tone to the whole. Robinson achieves much the same effect in the second stanza, which opens with the miller s wife sick with a fear that had no form, which implies that the fear has a continuation in the past. Beebe implies that a certain poetic inertia militates against supposing change, and much more is needed to indicate or certify such change than exists. This hypothesis is reinforced by the rest of the stanza, a single sentence formed by a pair of past conditional clauses. What he had meant, as direct object, parallels What else ... She was married to David Kalakaua and both of them changed Hawaii. Queen Kapiolani is one of Hawaii s greatest monarchs because of her good morals, she created the Iolani Palace, and she created Queen Kapiolani Medical Center One of the reasons why Queen Kapiolani was such a great queen was because of her great morals. She always helped the Hawaiian citizens by creating chants, and staying with her roots. An example of that would be when she was living in Hawaii. • 12. Mental Health For All By Involving All Mental illness is a broad spectrum of many diseases, from autism to depression and dementia. One in four people suffer from mental illness, and more often than not, those affected with mental illness are not treated. It is not an illness you can see or touch, but an illness in the mind, and today s society does not see it as an issue worth discussing. Imagine if you suffered from a mental illnessand were not able to receive the help you needed to have a good quality of life. In developing countries, this is not just imagination, however but a harsh reality. They will statically unhealthier and will live shorter lives compared to those who do not suffer from any form of mental illness. ( Transcript of Mental healthfor all by involving all ) Dr. Vikram Patel, a Psychiatrist and Professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropic Medicine, has a plan to change all that. Patel s idea is to train individuals in developing countries to be able to perform basic psychological treatment to those affected in rural or developing areas. To begin a way to get proper mental health care treatment to other areas, Patel has established a plan of action to get that care to certain individuals by receiving it from people they trust, their very own neighbors. This type of health care system has been around for centuries in different ways. The Native Americans had the Medicine Man, and the Europeans had the mid wife. • 13. Cause Of The English Revolution In 17th century, series of rebellions and civil wars occurred, known famously as the English Revolution. These events occurred primarily as the result of a power struggle between Parliament and the king. The revolutions served to decide how the power would be distributed in the English government. The events that led up to the English Revolution began largely after the death of Queen Elizabeth I, marking the end of the Tudor dynasty in 1603. James I was crowned king, and the Stuart dynasty began. James, unlike his predecessor, believed in divine right of kings, a concept that said kings were chosen for the position by God and were all powerful. This is a concept opposite to that of popular sovereignty, in which the power of governmentwas given and sustained by the people, rather than god. This created a rift... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Dissension among Parliament and the people of England was increased by the fact that James was strongly devoted to the Church of England, which displeased the Puritans, who wished to make the church more Protestant. Because the lower house of Parliament was composed primarily of Puritans, the new king was not popular with most of the members of Parliament. At one point, Parliament passed a law stating that citizens could not be taxed without Parliament s permission, which limited the king s power. James, who believed in the divine right of kings, was displeased by this. He believed that, as a man chosen by god to be a supreme ruler, he should not follow laws, and did not believe in the concept of constitutionalism. Constitutionalism is a concept that says all rulers must obey laws, regardless of standing. Henry I, son of James, further displeased the Puritans by attempting to force ritual on the Church of England, making it seem more Catholic. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To find out the total height we could add the height of all of the platforms. However, the total height can also be determined by a formula since the increase in height from platform to platform is the same. What I saw was that there are pairs within the heights of the first platform and last platform that when added result to the same number. For example: If there are 5 platforms in total, the first platform is 4 feet and the increase in height is 2 feet, the height of the platforms in order are: 4, 6, 8, 10, 12. The height of the last platform is 12 and the height of the first platform is 4. When we add 4 and 12 the result is 16 and divided by 2 is 8. The 2nd platform is 6 feet and the 4rth platform is 10 feet When added together and divided by 2 to get the average we get 8. The platform is the average number, which is 8. I saw this and put it into a formula. I took the height of the first platform and added it to the last platform, and substituted it for the variables f+l (where l=the height of the last platform). Then I took the total number of platforms and divided it by 2 to get the average, and multiplied it by the average of both platforms to get the total height of all of the platforms. This resulting number is the total length required in square feet of fabric to cover the fronts of the platforms. I got the formula (x/2) ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He had become averse to the depiction of the ephemeral, of the fleeting moment, and started to seek the art of the museums . It is in the museum that one must learn to paint. One must make the paintings of one s own time, but it is there in the museum that one develops the taste for painting, which nature alone cannot provide. The most spectacular example of the influence of Italian art on Renoir can be found in The Bathers. The hardness of outline, the smooth glossy texture and clarity of colour are the grounding for The Bathers. This can be considered his classical phase. Renoir was a remarkably versatile artist, his work ranged from portraits and scenes of Parisian life to landscapes and eventually nudes. An interest in sculpture was sparked in 1906, when a bust was made of him by Mailloll. In 1913 Renoir employed 23 year old Richard Guino as his teacher and assistant, and his collaboration with Guinno produced 14 figures and bas reliefs. Renior was blatantly anti Semitic, strongly believed in the panacea like benefits of religion, and felt that Education is the downfall of the working classes . Thom Gunn’s In the Tank Thom Gunn s In the Tank A Manifestation of the Human Consciousness A thorough analysis of subject material and literary style exhibits the complexity of establishing a strong thematic base, which does not deter from the ebb and flow of a poetic medium . In Thom Gunn s In the Tank, a felon is overwhelmed by emotion at the state of his existence in prison. In what appears to be a moment s reflection, Thom Gunn s narrator in In the Tank reveals an abundance of sentiment pertaining to his environment. The second stanza of Tank begins with a course of alliteration that is both an enlightening and confusing commentary on the poem. The cell was clean and cornered, and contained (line 5). Upon a visual appreciation of the line, c is repeated four times. However, when the line is spoken out loud, cell is pronounced with a soft se while clean and cornered, and contained are pronounced with a hard k sound. Gunn s use of adjectives to describe the man s surroundings are proof of the figurative difference between a cell and a tank. A cell is what the institution gives an inmate. It is exactly what Gunn has described it as: clean and cornered, and contained. A tank, relatively speaking, is a continuation of the cell, beyond what the institution issues. The word cell acts as a faГ§ade for the true definition of the word (the clean and cornered and contained aspect of the cell). The cell, in turn, is a part of the inmate s consciousness through exposure and constant scrutiny of surroundings and becomes the tank. The use of the past tense indicates the flow of events from a cell to a tank. The cell was clean and cornered and contained. Granted, the cell was all these, but what has the tank become? After all, the environment is described as the felon s tank in line one. Again, an insinuation of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Gathering and analyzing data from inside and outside of an organization and subsequently turning those data into information requires clear and concise communication between all of the involved parties. Likewise, taking the acquired information and developing an understanding of it such that appropriate strategies can be developed and actions taken requires extreme clarity of thought. The best way to synthesize data into information and information into strategy is by thinking and communicating visually during the planning process. SmartDraw is a visual processor used to create flow charts, organization charts, mind maps, project charts and other visuals. No matter what type of visual you need to create, SmartDraw has a quick start template to help you create your graphic in minutes. The above diagrams give us a perfect scenario of all the functions which can be easily accessed by a user to make the different diagrams. This are the sample templates. Midterm Microecons MIDTERM REVIEW ECONOMICS 100A: Intermediate Microeconomics Instructor: Prof. Ryan Oprea Prepared by: Aadil Nakhoda BUDGET CONSTRAINT The budget constraint can be described as the following equation: m = p1 x1 + p2 x2 m = income p1 = price of good x1 p2 = price of good x2 Solving the budget constraint: m p1 m p2 = intersect on the x1 axis = intersect on the x2 axis p1 p2 Slope of the budget line = Some key points to remember: The a¤ordable bundle of goods lie on or below the budget line, while the una¤ordable bundle of goods lie above it The budget line is a straight line connecting two points on the two axes, but at times there can be a kink in the budget line (food stamps). 1 If income changes but prices remain... U (x1 ; x2 ) = x2 + 2x1 x2 + x2 1 2 Answer 1: dx2 = dx1 dx2 = dx1 x1 x2 1 a 1 Answer 2: 6 CHOICE Preferred bundle vs a¤ordable bundle The most preferred and a¤ordable bundle will always be on the budget line The slope of the budget line and the slope of the indi¤erence curve will always be equal at the point the two are tangent. This will be the individual optimal choice. s For example: Budget constraint: p1 x1 + p2 x2 = m Utility Function: U (x1 ; x2 ) = x2 x2 1 2 U (x1 ; x2 ) = (x1 x2 )2 @U @U = 2(x1 x2 )x2 , = 2(x1 x2 )x1 @x1 @x2 M RS : 2x1 x2 2 = 2x2 x2 1 x2 x1 At the optimal level, MRS = slope of budget line x2 = x1 x2 = p1 p2 p1 x1 p2 2p1 x1 = m x1 = m m ; x2 = 2p1 2p2 7 If the following inequality holds: M Ux p1 M Uy p2 How will the individual consumption bundle be a¤ected? s Hint:Think about the di¤erences in slopes of the indi¤erence curve and the budget line. Which good are you willing to consume more, and once you consume that good, how will it a¤ect the MRS? DEMAND Comparative Static Analysis of demand: How x1 (p1 ; p2 ; y) and x2 (p1 ; p2 ; y) change as prices, p1 ; p2 ; and income y change. Suppose we hold income and p2 constant, then the budget line will pivot to the left (along the x1 axis) ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 51. Education in America Essays Education in America Education in the United States is a very crucial part of a person s life. Going to school opens doors and facilitates the pathway for future individual achievement and economic success. Formal education is a conscious effort by human society to convey the skills and modes of thought considered essential for social functioning. According to the census 2000, the total number of people in school between nursery and high school is approximately 57 million. Out of those 57 million, roughly 49 million are in public school. In students 15 17 years old, 30.8 % are below the modal grade. Furthermore, between 10 through 12 graders the annual dropout rate is 4.7%. Continuing education to the college level is a very ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Today, however, it seems as if the public has lost track of the importance of a great educational system. The main issue today s public schools faces are funding problems. There is not enough money allocated to support the growing needs of school across the nation. Most of the other problems the schools face are directly related to the funding issue. Buildings are run down and sometimes mobile because of the lack of finances. No child wants to go to school in a dreary building that smells bad. It makes it hard to concentrate and hard to study in buildings such as this. Every school has some type of sport being played by the students. For some, sports are the only reason they do not drop out of school. However, if finances are not available then the school should focus mostly on the education of all of its students as a whole, not just a few who think they cannot make it without sports. Without the financial issues, schools have even more problems. School violence is becoming more and more common. School should be a place where children come to learn and be with their peers, in a very good environment. It should not be a place where children are afraid to go because of the anger or hurt of other children. This is probably the major issue of the public today. No matter what the issue, schools have important issues that they have to work around and with everyday to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One of them was agile method. Agile is a group of the latest and popular software systems development life cycle methodologies work in iterative way. All the requirements /needs and solutions are solved through collaboration between a development team and a business stakeholder. Agile method usually enhances an organized project management method which promotes regular assessment and revision. And the scrum is a sub group of agile. It is an iterative and incremental agile software developmentmethodology for managing complex software and product development ( The Scrum Guide ). Scrum is not a method or a skill for... To make the scrum successful, these three essential components play vital role. They are as follows: The product owner The product owner is a person with clear vision and leadership quality. He should be the winner of the product. He is the champion of the business and marketing perquisites. To become an effective product owner, he should understand the product backlog. He ought to co ordinate with the business and the scrum team, and should make clear to everyone about the work items in the product backlog. In addition, he should handle how to deliver, when to deliver and what to deliver.
