The boundaries of design are the same of
perception”, a striking quote I continue to
emphasise since we don’t alway’s play by
the rules of the game!
We approach design by keeping to push the
boundaries in a way that is meaningful, both
physically as well as psychologically. The inherent
value of play, the energy and the fun that comes
with that moment you’re in motion is our starting
point. From there we work hard on transforming
every standard installation and/or location into
a unique experience. Creating the places where
people would love to go to, and get exited about to
go back.
This is a showcase of the first footsteps we have

The ICE*Amsterdam ice rink is situated between the Van Gogh Museum and
the Rijksmuseum. This unique oval shaped rink layout is integrated between
a Winter restaurant and Christmas Market. The venue attracts about a
70.000 ice skating lovers every winter. Both tourists as well as residents can

◀ ▲ Discover the Arctic World of exploration in
this winter adventure land. The lost ice breaker,
a ship towering over de icy landscape. A gigantic
Tubby slide inside the polar exploration ship.
Snow tubes rapidly sliding down the icy tubes
slide. Viewing areas surround the BigAirBag
landing platform. This Arctic World is a high end
concept developed for both indoor and outdoor
venues. This is a destination concept that can be
integrated with sports, shopping and other retail
opportunities. Other exciting activities that are
integrated are: ice skating, ice climbing, zip-lines
and an amazing trail trough the snowy setting.

10. EVENT CONCEPT 1918
CONCEPT
This concept contains a combined mobile
version of the Tubby Slide and the Skiddy
Drift karting parcours, a logistic package
of a mobile event setup to be installed
within one day on each and every event
location.
Light, music, set props, photo
opportunities, routing and viewing areas
can be added onto the concept. Formula
One, Red Bull Racing, Drifting Go-Karts
and a racing Tubby slide in collaboration
with a proper sponsoring package, F&B
and Retail integration, merchandising
etc. will add value in terms of brand
awareness and ROI on a short term.

Our European hospitality and
tourism industry originates
from the snowy Swiss Alps and

decades the mountain industry
has played a major role in our
leisure developments; both for the
amusement industry, (recreational)
sports as well as for the first
organised tourism holidays have

SKIING YEAR ROUND
Our climate remains changing and so are our winters.
The challenges we face when encountering less snow
can now be resolved with examples of dry skiing and
artificial ski slopes. This kind of slope mimics the
attributes of snow using materials that are stable
at normal temperatures and enable people to ski,
snowboard or snow tube in places where natural,
snow-covered slopes are inconvenient or unavailable
on the market. We make use of the latest innovations
available to develop tubing slides and ski slopes, but also
other exciting applications like water jumps to change
the mindset of winter sports. Operations are no longer
seasonal, enjoying winter physics has no limits: we now
can practice winter sport 365 days a year!
NEVEPLAST
Neveplast is an innovative product that is used as
an alternative or supplement for snow. It realistically
simulates the characteristics and conditions of ski slopes
and, with its ability to completely replace snow, makes
skiing and tubing possible the whole year round. With
over 2.000 references, Neveplast is a reliable partner
we like to work with. The system is formed by a modular,
flexible mat system, is simple to install on the contours
of your chosen concept and has special qualities that
ensure you can glide down slopes smoothly.
TUBING WITH NEVEPLAST
Snow tubing is yet another fun, winter activity. The art
of tubing is to slide down a hill, mountain or mini half
pipe in an air-filled inner tube. The run can be straight or
twisting. Using plastic tubing runs, which have a lifespan
of approximately 20 years, the tubing season as well is
no longer restricted to wintertime but can be enjoyed
year round.

12. AUSTRALIA
GOLD COAST SNOW PARK
SKIING DOWN UNDER
Thanks to the cooperation with our product partners we developed
a conceptual view for an artificial ski slopes park planned for Gaven,
Queensland’s Gold Coast, Australia.
This will be the first outdoor dry snow park in Australia. The Gold Coast Snow
Park is not only a facility for professional training, but provides fun for the
whole family. The park will feature a series of airbags and water ramps, snow
tube runs, ice karting, beginner and intermediate runs for skiers and boarders,
and a terrain park with varying degrees of difficulty. There will also be a snow
themed cafe, bar and bistro, a rental and retail store, a child care crèche, and
of course a snow sports school.

developed a dimensional wide shot (left) of an immersive
island destination.
Adventure Island Concept
Tree top trails, jungle slides, adventurous climbing, water fun and more
hidden in the jungle to be discovered! This tropical environment is a true
place to explore, excite and also relax! There are multiple walking trails,
tree top canopies, look-outs and hide-aways. The tubby slides are fully
integrated into the green environment floating through the landscape like
rivers. Waterfalls, spray and splash fun guaranteed!
This is a true oasis of flora and fauna where adventure awaits. Ancient
plants, reptiles or even a roaring volcano makes this setting a gem to be
discovered.

of the slide surface and themed elements can simulate the Tubby
Slide like a realistic jungle river.

Authentic Outdoor Play
Today’s playgrounds are well structured and
taking out any perceived risk factors as well as
much of the free-form creativity that children
need while learning through play. Kinetic
Creative’s approach to ‘active fun’ is at its
core; healthy play that stimulates the mind in
a way that most standard equipment cannot
accomplish.
‘Kinetic’s ambition is to develop playscapes and
playthroughs that can blend into the natural
environment as much as possible, offering enough
new found freedom and creativity while playing.’
New Standards in Guest Interactivity
Interactivity continues to make its impact on the
industry as parks open rides and attractions in which
the guest’s actions directly impact the experience.
Story driven attractions are no longer explicit or
passive, it is about YOU, the visitor’s role in those
‘story’ places.
‘We believe that today people gravitate to attractions
where the customer is involved physically and mentally
into the scene. Technology in terms of virtual and
augmented reality are becoming more realistic, which
gives the ability to not only blend seamlessly into a
different world, but also making you interact with the

Turning Green
Today’s biggest trend is to turn green.
A big portion of all leisure facilities’
expenses are on energy. It is a fair
assumption that by 2020, global
warming is only getting worse, and
leisure destinations will need to adapt in
order to conserve resources and deliver
an eco-responsible alternative.
‘We see some real potentials for savings
at these facilities, we do also think about
efficient methods to operate. From an
economic standpoint this translates
into higher investment value and lower
operational costs.’
Year Round Fun
People spend about 27 percent of their time on leisure
activities. This number is increasing globally and the
demand on the leisure industry is growing big time! Yet
most leisure destinations are mainly focused on either
the summer season or the winter season.
