It is the season of giving. Many hours and a lot of money is spent on gifts for those we love and appreciate. Some of those gifts will fill a need. Some will be just for the fun or pleasure of giving a gift. Some will feel compelled to give even if they don't really want to.
Today we will look at gift giving in a different way. I Peter 4:7-11 outlines five gifts we all need. The gift of love. The gift of hospitality. The gift of ministry. The gift of God’s word
The gift of Glory to God
2 Timothy 2:1-4 Paul used soldiers as illustrations for the life and work of a christian a number of times in the scriptures. many of our songs refer to us being soldiers of Christ. Soldiers of Christ are dedicated. Soldiers of Christ are properly clothed. Solidiers of Christ have precision team work. Soldiers of Christ depend on the Lord for victory.
Happy Mothers day, such an honor that you spending your morning with us today. I pray God has blessed you this year and in years to come. I also pray for those of you who have lost someone and today is a very difficult day. I pray that the God of all compassion speaks to you today and gives you the comfort only his holy spirit can give!
To those who gave birth this year to their first child—we celebrate with you
To those who lost a child this year – we mourn with you
To those who are in the trenches with little ones every day and wear the badge of food stains – we appreciate you
To those who experienced loss through miscarriage, failed adoptions, or running away—we mourn with you
To those who walk the hard path of infertility, fraught with pokes, prods, tears, and disappointment – we walk with you. Forgive us when we say foolish things. We don’t mean to make this harder than it is.
To those who are foster moms, mentor moms, teacher mom and spiritual moms – we need you
To those who have warm and close relationships with your children – we celebrate with you
To those who have disappointment, heart ache, and distance with your children – we sit with you
To those who lost their mothers – we grieve with you
To those who experienced abuse at the hands of your own mother – we acknowledge your experience and pain
To those who lived through driving tests, medical tests, and the overall testing of motherhood – we are better for having you in our midst
To those who are single and long to be married and mothering your own children – we mourn that life has not turned out the way you longed for it to be
To those who step-parent – we walk with you on these complex paths
To those who envisioned lavishing love on grandchildren -yet that dream is not to be, we grieve with you
To those who will have emptier nests in the upcoming year – we grieve and rejoice with you
To those who placed children up for adoption — we commend you for your selflessness and remember how you hold that child in your heart
And to those who are pregnant with new life, both expected and surprising –we anticipate with you
This Mother’s Day, we walk with you. Mothering is not for the faint of heart and we have real warriors in our midst. We remember you.
This Mothers we are going to focus, not so much on moms, but on how we are all called to Love like Jesus.
When the Apostle Paul was helping the young church in Thessalonica he compared his work among them to that of a mother caring for her children with love. On Mother’s Day as we consider God’s love, there are similarities between the love of a mother and of God to help us Love like Jesus.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

2. Ephesians 4:29-32 Let no corrupt word
proceed out of your mouth, but what is
good for necessary edification, that it
may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And
do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by
whom you were sealed for the day of
redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath,
anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put
away from you, with all malice. 32 And be
kind to one another, tenderhearted,
forgiving one another, just as God in
Christ forgave you.
3. A.“You meet the nicest people everywhere
around Christmas”
B.Galatians 6:10 Therefore, as we have

7. D. COOPERATION Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 Two are
