James 1:16-18 Do not be deceived,
my beloved brethren. 17 Every good
gift and every perfect gift is from
above, and comes down from the
Father of lights, with whom there is
no variation or shadow of turning.
18 Of His own will He brought us
forth by the word of truth, that we
might be a kind of firstfruits of His
creatures.

I. SALVATION
A. (Mat 1:18-21) Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as
follows: After His mother Mary
was betrothed to Joseph, before they came
together, she was found with child of the Holy
Spirit. {19} Then Joseph her husband, being a just
man, and not wanting to make her a public
example, was minded to put her away secretly. {20}
But while he thought about these things, behold,
an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream,
saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to
take to you Mary your wife, for that which is
conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. {21} "And she
will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name
JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins."
B. (Rom 3:24) being justified freely by His grace
through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
II. SERENITY
A.(John 14:27) "Peace I leave with you, My
peace I give to you; not as the world gives
do I give to you. Let not your heart be
troubled, neither let it be afraid.
B.(Phil 4:6-7) Be anxious for nothing, but in
everything by prayer and supplication,
with thanksgiving, let your requests be
made known to God; {7} and the peace of
God, which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and minds through
Christ Jesus.
III. STRENGTH
A. (Phil 4:13) I can do all things through Christ who
strengthens me.
B. (Eph 3:14-21) For this reason I bow my knees to the
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, {15} from whom the
whole family in heaven and earth is named, {16} that He
would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to
be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the
inner man, {17} that Christ may dwell in your hearts
through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in
love, {18} may be able to comprehend with all the
saints what is the width and length and depth and
height; {19} to know the love of Christ which passes
knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness
of God. {20} Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly
abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to
the power that works in us, {21} to Him be glory in the
church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and
ever. Amen.
IV. STABILITY
A.(1 Pet 5:10) But may the God of all grace,
who called us to His eternal glory by Christ
Jesus, after you have suffered a while,
perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle
you.
B.(2 Th 2:16-17) Now may our Lord Jesus
Christ Himself, and our God and Father,
who has loved us and given us everlasting
consolation and good hope by grace, {17}
comfort your hearts and establish you in
every good word and work.
V. STANDARDS
A. (Rom 12:1-2) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by
the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a
living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is
your reasonable service. {2} And do not be
conformed to this world, but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is
that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
B. (1 John 2:15-17) Do not love the world or the things
in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of
the Father is not in him. {16} For all that is in the
world; the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and
the pride of life; is not of the Father but is of the
world. {17} And the world is passing away, and the
lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides
forever.
