It outlines seven "entrusted truths" regarding finding God's favor and wisdom in fearing and knowing his word. The overarching message is that the gospel should be the foundation of and purpose for biblical understandings of womanhood and manhood.
Near the end of earth's history, Satan will tempt God's people just as he did ancient Israel before they entered the promised land. He will lay snares to entrap souls on their weakest points. Those who have not controlled their passions will be destroyed by Satan's temptations and polluted with licentiousness. It is important to make determined efforts now to overcome defects and prepare our characters for the seal of God and his soon coming.

The document discusses the concept of being thankful as more than just an attitude - it is a spiritual power or force. It says being thankful releases light and power that reaches God's throne and opens spiritual supply lines. Not being thankful cuts off these supplies. It also says different attitudes like complaining or bitterness radiate as discernible powers or colors that can envelop a person. Shalom Saints,
It is in this time of Purim that we are reminded again of the power of putting on the armour of God.
Having situations and calamities still happening in our lives, we are still struggling with the very basic in our lives, to obtain peace and His promise.
Paul focused the believer on spiritual warfare, who we are wrestling with...
Ephesians 6:12 NKJV
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but
...against principalities,
...against powers,
...against the rulers of the darkness of this age,
...against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
The believer will not stand a chance if he does not put on the FULL armour of God. A partial armour also makes the believer vulnerable.
Let's learn how the enemy attack believers and how the armour of God protect us. Also to claim this privilege of protection that God has given unto each one of us.
Ephesians 6:13 NKJV
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Earthquake in Turkey, flood in Johor, snow in Hollywood...you can name each disaster that may seemed a distance to us physically. One disaster that is closest to ourselves is when it happen to our family.
Come and join us and learn how we can put on this armor corporately and stand firm on His protection and promise.
As you know who we are, a prayer altar. Come and join us who can pray for you behind your back.
Philippians 2:1-5. Fulfilling Joy.
A. Paul ended chapter one by admonishing the Philippians to live worthy of the gospel.
B. He begins chapter 2 by admonishing them to fulfill his joy and their purpose.
C. He concludes by admonishing them to work out their own salvation with fear and trembling.

The sermon encourages Christians to use their abilities to live peaceably with all people, be at peace with themselves, and be at peace with God in order to avoid and resolve conflicts.
Contentment, Philippians 4, I have learned in whatever state I am in to be content. Stand firm in the Lord. Promote unity among brethren. Always rejoice. Be gentle to all. Overcome anxiety. Get your thinking right. Trust God.
Titus 2:1-10 We as Christians should make our Christianity and doctrine as attractive as we can for others without changing or corrupting the gospel. We adorn the doctrine by our conduct. We adorn the doctrine by shining as lights. We adorn the doctrine by consistent obedience. We adorn the doctrine by having a good reputation. We adorn the doctrine by having pure speech. We adorn the doctrine by showing genuine love. We adorn the doctrine by consistent assembling. We adorn the doctrine by showing concern for others. We adorn the doctrine by being united. We adorn the doctrine by being a good example.
This document is a sermon given at the Jackson Street Church of Christ. The sermon discusses counting in God's way by focusing on four key points:
1. Counting others as better than yourself by esteeming the interests of others above your own.
2. Counting what was once gain in life, such as status or possessions, as loss now for the sake of Christ.
3. Counting your thoughts as supremely important because they control your life and direct your actions.
4. Counting heaven as your true home and keeping your mind set on heavenly things rather than earthly things.
The sermon encourages believers to reflect on how well they are applying these principles
The document discusses the gospel and its meaning. It explores the gospel as originally understood in the Roman Empire, as misunderstood even by Jesus' disciples, and as still misunderstood today. It examines God's original plan for creation in Genesis and Exodus and His final plan for the new creation in passages like Matthew, Luke, 1 Corinthians and Revelation. The gospel is summarized as meaning that our triune God reigns and that believers will reign with Him. Several passages from Philippians are included that discuss living worthily of the gospel and finding righteousness through faith in Christ rather than the law.
Through the letters of the apostle Paul, we discover key focus areas as we pray for our local church and those in leadership. Through our faithful praying for the local church, we help communities of believers mature into Christlikeness, fulfill God's purposes and walk in purity and holiness. Your prayers help God's people move forward in their journey of faith.

Genesis 47:13-15 Now there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very severe, so that the land of Egypt and the land of Canaan languished because of the famine. 14 And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan, for the grain which they bought; and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh's house. 15 So when the money failed in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came to Joseph and said, "Give us bread, for why should we die in your presence? For the money has failed." There are a number of reasons that money fails.
I beseech you – beg, urge, encourage, appeal
By the mercies of God – compassion
Present your bodies a living sacrifice – as opposed to a sacrifice of death
Holy, Acceptable to God – pure, without spot or blemish
Your reasonable service – since Christ died for us we should live our lives for him. 2 Corinthians 5:15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
John 3:16 is the most quoted and most remembered scripture from the bible.
Did you know that there are a number of other 3:16 verses that relate to and are very important to our spiritual lives and our living for Jesus?
Tonight we are going to look at some of those 3:16 scriptures.
Philippians 1:9-11 And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, 10 that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, 11 being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
Fear is common to all. We all fear something. Some fear is God given. Children come into this world with a fear of heights and of loud noises. Some fears are there to protect us from physical harm: snakes, darkness, suffocation, being burned, death, etc. In christians, most fear is a tool of satan
Brotherly love has amazed many people throughout the centuries. Love of the brethren is commanded by God. Brotherly love mus be worked at to achieve. problems in the church are either directly or indirectly connected to lack of love for one another. love is the key to a growing or even a surviving church.
Jesus makes it very clear that we need to forgive others in order to be forgiven ourselves by God. Forgiveness is a key to having successful relationships. we will look at nine roadblocks to forgiveness from the book, "From Anger to Intimacy"
in Galatians chapter 3 Paul contrasts salvation under the Law of Moses with the salvation we have through Jesus. Galatians 3:22-29 is full of truths regarding our true position as sons of our loving Father. We will look at 8 things which our faith in Christ will cause us to become.
We are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works. We are blessed for doing God's work. We are to speak and do. Faith without works is dead. Faith is shown by our works.
Jonah is a book about god's desire to save the lost and man's role in that. there are some great lessons taught in the book of Jonah. We will look at questions Jonah was asked in the book and ask those questions of ourselves.
we all need motivation at times. what motivates you? Paul said 5 things to the brethren at Rome to motivate them to continue their service no matter how great the suffering became. the good always outweighs the bad. the Holy Spirit intercedes for us. God's providence works for us. Judgment is on our behalf. the love of God is on our behalf.
Isaiah 9:6-7 Jesus would be called or known as wonderful. Wonderful in His birth. Wonderful in His miracles. Wonderful in His teachings. Wonderful in His resistance to sin. Wonderful in His accomplishing His work. Wonderful in His fulfilling prophecies. Wonderful in His sacrifice. Wonderful in His resurrection. Wonderful is His Name.
Isaiah 9:6-7 Jesus would be called or known as Mighty God. Prophecies said he would be God. John said He was Creator and God. Jesus claimed to be God. Thomas said He was God. Paul said He was Creator. Paul called Him God. John said Jesus was the True God.
Isaiah 9:6-7 His name will be called or He would be known as counselor. He is a counselor who understands your struggles. He is a counselor who cares for you. He is a counselor who is committed to you.
I John 2:28-3:3 Tests for Christians. Do you abide in Christ? Do you practice righteousness? Who knows you? Are you a child of God? Are you pure, just as He is pure? What is your identity?
I John 4:1-6 tests for christians 3 - the test of false teaching. Bluffing your way. Do you confess the Son? Do you listen to the Son? Do you obey the Son? Do you pass the test?
Ephesians 3:14-21 How big is your God? The ability of my God is boundless. The ability of my God goes beyond my prayers. The ability of my God is beyond my ability to imagine. The ability of my God is manifested in the lives of His people. The ability of my God is seen through His glorious church. The ability of my God is eternal.
The resurrection of jesus is a prevarication (spoken against), a plethora (great number) of witnesses, a proven fact, a purpose to save us. a plea to live worthy, a pattern for us to follow, a power from God, a promise for us, to believe in, a pledge by our savior.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

2. Philippians 4:1-9 Therefore, my beloved and longed-for
brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord,
beloved. (2) I implore Euodia and I implore Syntyche to be of
the same mind in the Lord. (3) And I urge you also, true
companion, help these women who labored with me in the
gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers,
whose names are in the Book of Life. (4) Rejoice in the Lord
always. Again I will say, rejoice! (5) Let your gentleness be
known to all men. The Lord is at hand. (6) Be anxious for
nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with
thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; (7)
and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (8)
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things
are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure,
whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good
report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything
praiseworthy--meditate on these things. (9) The things which
you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do,
and the God of peace will be with you.
3. STAND FAST
A. Philippians 4:1 Therefore, my beloved and
longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so
stand fast in the Lord, beloved.
B. 1 Thessalonians 3:8 For now we live, if you
stand fast in the Lord.
C. 1 Corinthians 16:13 Watch, stand fast in the
faith, be brave, be strong.
D. Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the
liberty by which Christ has made us free, and
do not be entangled again with a yoke of
bondage.
E. 2 Thessalonians 2:15 Therefore, brethren,
stand fast and hold the traditions which you
were taught, whether by word or our epistle.
4. I. LIVE IN HARMONY
A.Phil 4:2-3 I implore Euodia and I implore Syntyche
to be of the same mind in the Lord. (3) And I urge
you also, true companion, help these women who
labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also,
and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names
are in the Book of Life.
B.Phil 2:2-3 make my joy complete by being of the
same mind, maintaining the same love, united in
spirit, intent on one purpose. (3) Do nothing from
selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of
mind let each of you regard one another as more
important than himself;
C.Rom 12:16 Be of the same mind toward one
another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate
with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own
estimation.
5. I. LIVE IN HARMONY
D. 1Cor 1:10 Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name
of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree, and
there be no divisions among you, but you be made
complete in the same mind and in the same
judgment.
E. 1Pet 3:8-9 To sum up, let all be harmonious,
sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in
spirit; 9 not returning evil for evil, or insult for insult,
but giving a blessing instead; for you were called
for the very purpose that you might inherit a
blessing.
F. Eph 4:1-8 — I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord,
entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling
with which you have been called, 2 with all humility
and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance
to one another in love, 3 being diligent to preserve
the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
6. II. REJOICE IN THE LORD
A. Phil 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say,
rejoice!
B. 1Thes 5:16 Rejoice always;
C. Jas 1:2-4 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when
you encounter various trials, 3 knowing that the
testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 And let
endurance have its perfect result, that you may be
perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
D. 1Pet 4:13 but to the degree that you share the
sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing; so that also
at the revelation of His glory, you may rejoice with
exultation.
E. Phil 3:1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord.
To write the same things again is no trouble to me,
and it is a safeguard for you.
7. III. BE GENTLE WITH ALL
A. Phil 4:5 Let your gentleness be known to all men.
The Lord is at hand.
B. Jesus was gently - Matthew 11:29 Take My yoke
upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and
lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
C. Paul was gentle - 1 Thessalonians 2:7 But we were
gentle among you, just as a nursing mother
cherishes her own children.
D. A bishop (elder) is to be gentle - 1 Timothy 3:2-3 2
A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of
one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good
behavior, hospitable, able to teach; 3 not given to
wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle,
not quarrelsome, not covetous;
8. III. BE GENTLE WITH ALL
E. Servants (ministers) should be gentle - 2 Timothy 2:24
And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be
gentle to all, able to teach, patient,
F. Christians should be gentle - Titus 3:1-2 1 Remind
them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to
be ready for every good work, 2 to speak evil of no
one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all
men.
G. Gentleness is wise - James 3:17 But the wisdom that
is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle,
willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without
partiality and without hypocrisy.
H. Wives are to be gentle - 1 Peter 3:3-4 3 Do not let your
adornment be merely outward--arranging the hair,
wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel-- 4 rather let it
be the hidden person of the heart, with the
incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which
is very precious in the sight of God.
9. IV. BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING
A. Phil 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in
everything by prayer and supplication, with
thanksgiving, let your requests be made
known to God; (7) and the peace of God,
which surpasses all understanding, will
guard your hearts and minds through Christ
Jesus.
B. Don’t be anxious, pray - Philippians 4:6-7 6
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by
prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving,
let your requests be made known to God; 7
and the peace of God, which surpasses all
understanding, will guard your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus.
10. IV. BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING
C. Don’t worry, God will take care of you - Matthew 6:27-34
Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his
stature? 28 So why do you worry about clothing?
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they
neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even
Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of
these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field,
which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven,
will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31
Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or
'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 For
after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly
Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek
first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all
these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not
worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its
own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
11. V. THINK POSITIVELY
A. (Philippians 4:8) Finally, brethren, whatever
things are true, whatever things are noble,
whatever things are just, whatever things are
pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever
things are of good report, if there is any
virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--
meditate on these things.
B. Replace bad attitudes with good ones -
Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness, wrath,
anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away
from you, with all malice. (32) And be kind to
one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one
another, just as God in Christ forgave you.
12. V. THINK POSITIVELY
C. God made each day - Psalm 118:24 This is
the day the LORD has made; We will
rejoice and be glad in it.
D. Everything will work out for good -
Romans 8:27-28 Now He who searches
the hearts knows what the mind of the
Spirit is, because He makes intercession
for the saints according to the will of God.
(28) And we know that all things work
together for good to those who love God,
to those who are the called according to
His purpose.
13. VI. PRACTICE GOD’S WILL
A. (Philippians 4:9) The things which you learned and
received and heard and saw in me, these do, and
the God of peace will be with you.
B. Paul was a pattern for us - Phil 3:17 Brethren, join
in following my example, and note those who so
walk, as you have us for a pattern.
C. We should imitate Paul as he imitated Christ - 1Cor
11:1
D. We should follow Paul and other spiritual leaders
and the Lord - 1Thes 1:6 And you became
followers of us and of the Lord, having received
the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy
Spirit,
14. ARE YOU STANDING FAST IN
THE LORD?
A. Are you living in harmony with others?
B. Are you rejoicing in the Lord?
C. Are you gentle with all people?
D. Are you free from anxiety?
E. Are you thinking positively?
F. Are you following the right people to
do God’s will?
