Expanding to upstream and downstream thinking for amazing end-to-end experiencesJay Brewer
There's more to designing the next feature, product or amazing experience if you don't think of how it affects the upstream (innovation) and downstream (go to market and sustaining) experiences your customers will encounter.
If you want to understand how to make old experiences seem continually new, and new experiences that help your customers achieve their goals with your product, we'll give you great examples on upstream and downstream UX thinking and ways to apply it to your work.

Subject: Kevin Henzel – Recommendation
To whom it may concern,
I had the privilege to work with Kevin Henzel on several initiatives between March
2008 and October 2010 in my capacity as Operations Manager for Ferguson
Enterprises.
Kevin successfully designed and programmed a number of innovative tools for our
sales and operations associates to simplify complex reporting functions into user
friendly, auto-formatted and flexible generators that have allowed us to be more
efficient and raise standards of sales order management.
His ability to listen, understand, question and translate non technical ‘sales/human
functionality’ information into logical programming code to create a useable tool is
outstanding. Kevin has always quickly identified the critical roots of what was
required both at the user and programming interface and problem solved challenges in
a highly effective manner. He is a consummate professional, extremely responsive,
reliable and often delivering ahead of expectation. In addition, Kevin was invaluable
in troubleshooting individual system/user issues that our associates encountered,
which were no fault of the tools he produced. This is testament to how he successfully
tailors his communication to the audience at hand, almost all of whom were non-
technical, including myself. It is tremendous skill that comes effortlessly to Kevin
and was critical to our successful roll out of his tools.
I would be delighted to work with Kevin at any point in the future and know he will
be a great asset to your team. Should you require any further information or wish to
discuss examples in more detail, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely,
Paul Raynor
