THE CHALLENGE
McKenney’s was commissioned to add a
­cooling system with redundancy in the data
hub of the massive, technology-advanced sta-
dium. The hub features most of the controls
for thousands of video boards, digital signs,
wireless access points and other connected
options, and is considered the “brains” for
the entire complex. The work in the data hub
had to be completed quickly, efficiently and
without interrupting service or events.
THE SOLUTION
With limited time available at the stadium,
the McKenney’s team mapped out a coordi­
nation schedule—including pre-planning,
walk-downs of cooling options, backups
and trial runs—to ensure seamless execution
during installation and new equipment testing.
THE RESULTS
The McKenney’s team completed the work
on time, under budget and with no disruption
to stadium operations. Now, the stadium has
redundant cooling capabilities in its main data
hub−contributing to the high guest satisfac-
tion rating at the stadium.
