This document analyzes several scenes from a Katy Perry music video through the lens of cinematography techniques. It discusses how a medium close-up shot frames Katy Perry's concerned facial expressions, focusing viewer attention on her. It also notes that while the lush natural surroundings are meant to symbolize life, they do not reflect her distressed emotional state. Additionally, it describes the use of an eye-level camera angle and how Perry's torn costume matches her distraught demeanor. High-key lighting is used but contrasts with her sad facial expressions.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!
Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

Katy perry Music Video Analysis
1. This part of the video,
shows Katy Perry looking
concerned and fretful,
which conforms to the
expectations of the gender
stereotypes of women, as
usually, the media portrays
women as being
despondent and reliant.
Also, the camera angle and
positioning of the scene can be
referred to as being a ‘medium
close-up shot’. This camera
angle frames the subject's
head (Katy Perry) and cuts off
around mid-chest.
The focus is on Katy Perry’s
facial expressions, however,
it also reveals a little of the
surroundings in her
background.
This scene also uses a ‘focus pull’ shot.
This shot is directing the viewer's
attention, as, there are two people in
shot but only one is in focus (Katy Perry),
therefore, that person is the subject of
attention. If the focus changes to the
other person, they become the subject,
which in this case would be the man
behind her taking selfies. This shot
helped put emphasis on her facial
expressions, to highlight the fact that she
is rather bothered by the atmosphere
that she is surrounded by, and this shot
type makes that very clear and visible.
Mise-en-scene in this
part shows that her
location and setting
doesn't depict or reflect
her character’s
emotional state of mind,
as the nature and
greenery that she is
surrounded by
symbolises life, it is
supposed to give one
positive vibes with the
energy to continue to
emulate in the world she
has now reached, which
is in this jungle. However,
if the scenery was less
bright and vivid and
instead more dull and
dismal then that would
depict nature as being a
withdrawal of life.
This part of the video can also be
described as using an Eye Level camera
angle, as it is a fairly neutral shot; the
camera is positioned as though another
person is physically standing there and
actually observing the scene, so that for
example, actors' heads are on a level
with the focus.
Mise-en-scene in this part shows their
outfits/costumes. Katy Perry’s costume
fits well with her facial expressions
displayed in this shot, as she looks
distraught, in a similar way, her outfit is
ruined, as it is torn and dirty with stains
after crashing into a jungle, with plants,
mud and nature etc.
In addition, Mise-en-scene, in this part shows
that there is High-key lighting, which
emphasises that the characters are
encompassing an even lighting pattern and
avoiding dark areas in the frame. Everything
looks bright with little to no shadow at all.
However, high-key lighting is supposed to show
a positive vibe in the video, as the colours are
bright and vivid, they are ‘happy’ colours, but
Katy Perry’s facial expressions don’t conform to
the lighting, as she looks distressed and sad not
happy and content.
