- Collections – what we cover: 25,000 objects in the Museum's collection 100,000 + books across MERL and SC 100s of archive collections across subjects, including over 1 million photographs Highlights – Beckett, Publishing, crafts, etc.
- Working across collections – c 30 FT and PT inc. significant % of project staff Staff members aren’t usually assigned to one collection (e.g. MERL vs SC archives) RR and enquiries run together Catalogue includes library, museum(s), archives (also Herbarium, etc.) Projects – many projects cross collections Example: Landscape Institute Last year: Just under 2,000 research visits Over 1,100 student visits 28,148 visits to MERL 69% of new research visitors external

- We work extensively with broader University, and have worked hard to ensure that we fit within University strategy Solid links with experts at the University of Reading and beyond, in Science and Humanities Solid fit with the research Strategy of the University Five research themes will drive forward discipline-based and inter-disciplinary research within the University
