Karyotype Lab

Objective
      Write at least one objective

Materials
Make a list of your materials

Method
Write a short paragraph explaining how you completed this lab?

Data
After you cut out the chromosomes and paste them, add them in this section
of your notebook. Put the correct notation for each karyotype. For example
if all of the chromosomes are present, an there are two X chromosomes then
the notation should be 46, XX.

Analysis
Write a short paragraph explaining both karyotypes. How do you know
that the karyotype is from a normal human or from an abnormal
      human?

Write two paragraphs explaining the abnormality that you found. What
is it called? When did we learn about it? What are the symptoms?
What other information can you give about this syndrome?

Conclusion
1. How difficult would it be to explain a chromosomal abnormality to parents? If
you were a doctor, how would you go about doing this?

2. How do computers make karyotypes easier to make?
