Karyotype Lab

Objective
My Objective was to cut all the pieces of papers and put them in the paper.
Materials
      Scissors
      Papers
      pencil

Method
Well, I really didn’t complete this lab but my method was to cut all of them
perfectly so I know where to place it on the paper, after that I place them
where they fit and look alike, and when im done I taped them all so they were
taped and stuck to where they belong.

Data
After you cut out the chromosomes and paste them, add them in this section
of your notebook. Put the correct notation for each karyotype. For example
if all of the chromosomes are present, an there are two X chromosomes then
the notation should be 46, XX.

Analysis
A normal human chromosomes have 46 chromosomes, it can be XY or
XX, an abnormal chromosome could have missing chromosomes like 1
chromosomes could cause somebody to have a disease, or down
      syndrome.

2 abnormality that I have found is klimeefelter and the other one is
turner, and it could be down syndrome.

Conclusion
1. I would just tell them that a chromosome is missing which is something deep in
your body, and it can cause down syndrome and such diseases if something with
chromosomes is missing.

2. Computers make karyotype much easier because they can help you, instead of
cutting with scissors you can use the computers to help you code.
