PROJECT 1: VALUE ENGINEERIN AND COST MODELLING. (Electro – Mechanical
product)
Value Engineering using a systematic approach of evaluation and execution
process. The products are Electro-Mechanical based telecom products namely Data center,
Network switches, Servers, routers which includes Heat Sinks, Fan trays, Sheet metal
enclosures, Cable assembly, PCB assembly and plastic bezels and executing cost modelling
research on all commodities to have vendor negotiation.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITY:
• VA/VE execution using a step wise VAVE methodology on the given telecom
product.
• Performing Tear down, Bench marking, Functional analysis and Cost modeling.
• Evaluating the conceptual design and ideas generated in the execution phase.
• Optimizing the designs and ideas generated.
• Manufacturing feasibility (DFM) check with contract manufacturers.
• Requesting quote for the modified parts from contract manufacturers
• Drawing creation for the updated design using ASME standards.
