Ben Barreth emails the startup community about a potential new "startup area" developing in Kansas City near his new home, where multiple startups will be located and working full time. He believes this concentrated area of startups could "get some national attention focused on our city" and proposes the community works together to support the area and "just rocked KC!" The Kansas City Startup Village mission is then presented, aiming to foster entrepreneurship education and opportunities for startup success through programming, recruitment and knowledge sharing. Their vision is to establish the Village as a hub for the Greater KC startup community and serve as a resource for other startup communities.
