report
comes
from
a
variety
of
publically
available
sources
such
as
the
Census
Bureau
and
Bureau
of
Labor
Sta:s:cs.
This
report
is
intended
to
give
a
brief
overview
of
the
general
demographics
and
economy
of
the
Kansas
City
Metropolitan
Area
as
defined
in
2012.
Most
of
the
data
is
updated
at
least
annually.
Some
of
the
employment
data
sources
do
update
on
a
monthly
basis,
but
to
avoid
seasonal
fluctua:ons,
the
data
used
here
is
the
most
current
annual
data.
