The study examines the physio-chemical properties of Gwarmi clay deposit in Wurno, Sokoto State, Nigeria, revealing its chemical composition and physical characteristics. The clay is rich in silica, alumina, and iron oxides, indicating its suitability for use as refractory materials and in load-bearing structures. Key findings include low firing shrinkage, high water absorption, and adequate thermal shock resistance, categorizing it as a kaolinic fireclay deposit.
