I am a recent graduate (2015) with a professional long term goal of becoming an editor. I
have excellent academic achievements which I am determined to advance into an
experienced writing career. I am able to meet tight deadlines and deliver on schedule. I
have many years of experience using Microsoft Office to produce my work, whether in the
form of word documents or presentations.
Employment
2014 – on going GroceryColleague – Asda Superstore
Responsibilities: • Helping customers with enquiries and assisting them with
reaching high goods or carrying heavy items
• Taking accurate stock counts using hand held scanners
• Moving stock from warehouse to shop floor using cage systems
and pump truck
• Providing an informed, polite customer service and presenting
high standards of personal cleanliness
• Responsibly following all health and safety legislation
• Excellent timekeeping and flexibility in order to meet the demands
of the store
2013 - 2014 Student Guide – Edge Hill University
Responsibilities: • Ad hoc student guide and admin worker prior to and during open
days
• Showing prospective students and their parents around the
campus and providing information in an accurate, honest and
open manner.
• Providing admin support to the admissions team
2010 - 2012 Waiter – The Pines Hotel
Responsibilities: • Providing silver service waiting on at weddings and large, formal
functions
• Ensuring that tables were set correctly, that cutlery and glassware
was polished to the highest standards
• Attending to guests throughout the function with a polite yet
confident deference
• Clearing away quickly and efficiently in order that all courses were
delivered to the tables promptly and without spillages
• Following the highest food hygiene regulations
