Judaism is a monotheistic religion formed in the second millennium BC based on faith in one God. It is the national religion of the Jews and Christianity directly comes from Judaism. Key signs of Judaism include synagogues where Jews meet to read the Torah, their five oldest scriptures given to Moses containing God's message to mankind. Basic Jewish prayers include the Kaddish said in Aramaic and Kiddush recited over wine. Rabbis are important teachers in the Jewish community and a Menorah is a seven-branched candelabrum.
