I believe the number one priority for early childhood education is to enable teachers &
directors on their journey to construct knowledge about best teaching practices.
My greatest love is doing training & technical assistance that helps program staff
reflect on their values and beliefs about how young children learn what helps them
grow into strong, capable human beings.
When given opportunity to reflect on experiences from childhood they find that they
intuitively know what young children need and how they learn & what will enable them
to grow healthy bodies and minds.
One of my goals is to make the learning about early childhood relevant to their
personal lives. As they begin to make connections between what they learn and the
parenting and teaching skills many of them are trying to develop, they can begin to
see how best practice is relevant to their every day dealings with young children.
