Johann Sebastian Bach was born in 1685 in Eisenach, Germany. Both of his parents died before he was 11 years old, so he went to live with his older brother. Bach married twice - his first wife Maria Barbara died in 1720, and he later married singer Anna Wulken. He had 20 children total between his two marriages. Bach went blind later in life and eventually died of a stroke in 1750 at the age of 65 in Leipzig, Germany. He is considered one of the greatest composers of all time and wrote famous works such as the Brandenburg Concertos, The Well-Tempered Clavier, and Mass in B Minor.
