Ludwig van Beethoven was a German composer, pianist, and conductor born in 1770 in Bonn to parents Johann Beethoven and Maria Magdalena. He moved to Vienna in his early twenties where he spent the rest of his life composing symphonies and other works, despite losing his hearing at age 26. Beethoven died in Vienna in 1827 at the age of 57.
