                        5th PARTIAL JOURNALS – 9th

Below you will find the Journal entries corresponding to the second partial. It must be
ready by November 8th. Write down a whole page, without skipping a line, and using
your own words.

If you must do some research, use books, internet or any other means you may find, but
remember, that you must write down everything using your own words. Use the facts
found during the research to make your writing more vivid. Use the guidelines given
below, for every entry to have a better idea on what you may write about.

   1. Italy's Geography: What were the advantages of the Italian geography? How
did Romans use it to develop a civilization?
   2. Cincinnatus: What is your personal opinion about this man? if you need to
      research further, do it.
   3. Loyalty, courage and respect for authority: These were three values that
helped Rome become a history changing nation. Do we value the same things
here in Ecuador? What do you think?
   4. Imperialism: Describe the Romans' first steps into becoming an Empire.
   5. Julius Caesar: What is your opinion of him? Try to characterize him. What
      kind of man was he?

Note: If you have not received your journal, please go to the teacher’s office and look
for it.
