by restructuring, executing and maintaining a new business development plan.
Secured untapped department of transportation, state, and federal government
contracts by utilizing status as a minority business and submitting company to DOT
project listing in Mississippi, Florida and Alabama. Recruited quality estimators and
project manager to sustain business objectives.

Pioneered the launch of J.L. Tatum Contracting Company, Inc. Acquired and directed a team of 50
managers, superintendents, foremen, and laborers. Completed $50 million in
commercial and multi-unit residential developments, infrastructure construction and
wetland restoration in response to damage caused by hurricane Katrina. Built the
largest man-made water feature in the state of Mississippi consisting of over 15,000
square feet of waterfalls and fountains in Hattiesburg, MS.
Conceptualized and developed 13 mixed use and residential properties as President of a real estate

complexes projects of up to $35 million. Oversaw property management of
