John Grisham is an American author and lawyer. He received a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Mississippi State University in 1977 and a law degree from the University of Mississippi in 1981. He practiced law and served in the Mississippi House of Representatives before becoming a full-time author in 1996. Some of his well-known novels include The Firm, The Pelican Brief, and The Client. Grisham is one of the best-selling authors of all time, selling over 300 million copies worldwide. He continues to write legal thrillers that have been adapted into popular films.
