1. POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Engineering Intern Department: Engineering
Classification: Hourly Location: Warminster
Reports to Directly: Dir. of Engineering Date: 2016
Key Back Up: Other Mechanical Engineers
Position Purpose: To gain engineering and technical experience in a
fast paced production setting while being supervised to evolve into a
professional engineer.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Assist in Product development projects for injection molded or
extruded components or other products
 Perform tasks while assisting other engineers for the purposes of
evaluating new colorants, testing new products, evaluating
processes and calibrating machinery.
 Assist engineers in troubleshooting to optimize efficiency, safety,
quality and downtime
 Detailed documentation including process set up sheets and
drawings
 May include product development projects involving design of parts
 Work as a team member with production, mechanics, Quality
Assurance and machine shop personnel
 Communicate with management on project plans and status
 Must follow company procedures and policies
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual
must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual
must be a self starter (ability to work independently). Must be
mechanically inclined. The ability to understand and follow verbal and
written instructions in English is a requirement. Advance computer skills
including AutoCad and 3D modeling software are preferred. Candidate
must be pursuing a B.S in Engineering.
Quality Standards: Must maintain a clean and safe work area. Must
comply with plant GMP.
Safety: Maintain proper safety standards according to established Double
H policies. Proper use of all safety equipment (i.e., proper use of personal
protective gear including gloves and safety glasses).
